When to choose intermediates or rain tires

Didnt know if this should go to the tuning forum or not so I figure the q&a forum works.

As a general rule, what % of surface water should I switch from slicks to intermediate tires and then from intermediates to full rain tires?

Of course, switch to rain tires at 100% surface water You can handle up to 10-20% surface water with slicks/normal tires, intermediates until 40-60% and full rain tires for relatively high percentages. That's just estimation though.

People still say though that the issue of race softs better than rain tires wasn't patched yet...

Yeah, in some cases RS are better in the rain the Wet tires, mainly because the RS keep their heat more easily.

For B-spec La Sarthe.. Switch to intermediates after second lap.. Again on lap 8..

I still think there's plenty of corrections needed for the tire issues like wear rates and being able to use slicks in the wet. Gt5 's creator should realize these things being a racecar driver himself.
