When to stop playing gt5

When you guys plan to stop playing gt5?!

Im level 40 A/B spec. Gold all races, at least bronze on licenses, special events, and almost all trophies except "all golds trophy" and the platinum trophy. 98% completion. Not interested in golding everything... I might be done...

You thing pd will do anything in the neat future to expand the game?!

Like anything else, you will get bored with it...I am almost Level 40 A-spec now...I dont have a ton of interest to do B-spec but I guess I will start that too.

Not sure what else they can do....

But, I don't recall getting bored with GT4 this quickly....
 
Does gt5 have scoreboards? I always found do a time trial session beating times enjoyable.
 
Start tuning! Get a crap car and fix her up until she can compete. Or go after trophies, collect all the cars, get all the paint chips, or race online. Though there's not as many offline races as GT4 there are plenty of online races and seasonal events. There's still plenty of the game to explore, you just have to get creative.
 
I will probably stop playing gt5 when the ps4 comes out and lacks backward compatability. Or the updates stop and the servers are shut down. I currently get my kicks from running the online trials in cars that nobody else will. Top 500 isn't too bad.
 
I really don't understand the mentality that seems so common around here. When do I "plan to stop playing"? I dunno, when I get board of driving cars fast around race tracks, or a game shows up that lets me do it better.

I have no idea what % completion I have, I've done all the events I want to do, now I just run time trials. When I get board of driving fast I'll stop playing. It's not as if GT has a storyline full of plot twists or something which makes it less fun to keep playing.
 
Well i have slightly hit the wall some how. The only thing i need is to do 4 endurance races more and gold some of the Vettel challanges and the special event with the Alfa on eiger nordwand. Nothing else to do. But i guess it will be like when i had completed the prologue, i just kept coming back to get my racing kick no matter what other games came along. I didn't really stop playing the prologue, so i guess i will first end GT5 when the PS4 arrives with GT6 on board, but that will be a long long time into the future i suspect.
 
Online goes on and on and on...
 
When online support is pulled and the game becomes an empty disc.
 
Online (organized) is where I spend most time on GT5

Frankly i stopped playing a while back as I have plenty of other games that I want to finish. However I still do a trade everyday.
 
Got my platinum trophy in mid Feb. ('11) and I just started racing online all the time and I'll be getting back into the WRS too 👍 Stopping isn't an option atm :lol:

I was in the school of thought that online was blah, and that it would never hold my attention. Then I started playing online. Wow, it's a blast when you can get in a good room with clean racers (which I've been lucky enough to do a good amount of the time).

Why would someone "plan" on quitting the game? You play while it's fun, and stop when it's not. This isn't the kind of game that has a "to-do" checklist, where you quit when you've got everything done. You play to race.
 
i go in spurts... got the game, played the a-spec career as much as i could, let b-spec race when i was busy. got bored of it, didn't play it for a while, then i got the DFGT and you couldn't peel me away from it for weeks. then last weeked i started shooting for the 60 gold licenses, spent a few hours a day for 4 days and got them.

now i'm trying to go back and gold the specials that i've completed and at least complete the harder ones (loeb rally, X-challenge). once those are done i plan on learning to drift with the DFGT and buy up all the cars i can.
 
Until F1 2011 is out, then I'll play that for a while. After that back to GT5 :D
 
I'm planning to stop playing when I loose my job because of GT5, when I don't care about my friends anymore and my girlfriend leaves me and I fail some exams in my studies.

But no wait 💡, then I will have so much free time that I won't know what to do with it.

Joking apart now, play as long as the game is fun for you and as you can't plan that no one can tell when he's stopping to play.
 
When GT6 comes out.

I want to carry on plating this game, but for some reason my online doesn't work, it says something about the server being offline? So maybe someone can tell me whats going on?

I got the plat trophy and I'm still enjoying this game(online)

You're just 2 trophies away from blowing yourself. How the hell can you be done so quickly?
 
done at 1000 cars and 40-40 97% now playing fight night and castlevania missing 1 gold and 1 hidden from vettel challenge i think

I am going out on a limb here, but I am going to say, probably on or around December 21, 2012 :nervous:
 
I will never stop playing this game simply because I play online a lot with friends and we have two racing series going on right now and another one finished on Saturday. If you're interested in racing with some cool people pm me and I'll give you the details. 👍
