I got 100% in GT1,2,3. GT4 i only got upto 66%,the 24hr races, mission 34 and it`s biased to Le Mans car racing after the 50% mark kinda took away my desire to invest my time in going any further.

Like most GT games(and Forza) I will get to a point where i don't feel like completing the game and just want to screw around with some cars. After a while though i may just want to finish it and then go crazy with whatever money i haven't used. I would say...a year or 2 until i actually get back to it and finish it.

But you never really finish GT ;)

I think that i'm not going to finish GT5. Some missions in GT4 were too hard for me to complete them and GT5 will be probably similar. Sam with golds in Licences.

I never really finished GT4, Doubt I even got 50% complete, although it felt very filling from what I'd done already, probably be the same with GT5.

I had to say never, but things could change. I never finished any other GT to 100% so I don't see why this will be any different. I'm just not interested in doing EVERYTHING, especially if the long enduros have to be done in A-Spec. Now, it is possible I could get the Platinum trophy/ies depending on how involved it is.

From GT3 and up it is impossible to 100% a GT game, it can't be done.

Some people might have acheived this with the help of gameshark *Deleted*
*Deleted*

Now you might say "But *insert username* completed GT4 without using gameshark"
To that i say, first of all mind your own business *insert username* doesn't need you to talk on his/her/but probably his behalf.
Second of all *insert username with the word chick in it* on another forum said she was a hot chick and wanted to meet me, all she needed was my bank account password.
Now I'm 300000 dollars in debt and I'm still waiting "FakeChick" to show up.

Just like there are no women on the internet, there are no GT3 and up 100% completers without using gameshark on the internet (Doesn't quite roll of the tongue)

So my answer is never, i'm never gonna finish GT5 100%.

Yup yup

I've only completed GT3 and GT4 with 100%. GT4 took me about two years, GT3 took me a DAMN LONG TIME with its "winning car roulette". Idk, with 1000+ cars and all these options and events, Im guessing it should take me perhaps 4-5 years? Ill continue to play and enjoy it. I did the same with GT4, although with GT3 my memory card reformatted just a few weeks after 100% and I went into a state of gaming depression(never played Sim mode to this day).

No it hasn't, it's impossible.

You wanna hear my slogan again?

Oh Damn, I feel like a fool. I just asked my brother, it wasn't 100 :(
It was 99%. But I completed every DAMN thing?! What the hell did I miss?

actually it is 96%

I believe it was the drag racing aspect that was pulled at the last minute and they never adjusted the completion rate by launch

actually it is 96%

I don't get it? I thought completing everything meant getting 100%? Im asking my brother, and he's telling me we did and I clearly remember us beating everything. That much Im sure, yet he told me 100% never showed on the screen? Did GT3 have a glitch?

EDIT: All these years, I never knew that. I've just been going with the feeling of completion.

Some people might have acheived this with the help of gameshark but it is impossible to complete it by playing the game the way it's supposed to be played.
It's never been done.

Welcome to the boards FendRhodes. I can't seem to follow your post here and you are sorely mistaken when you say no one has completed GT3, GT4 and GT5P without cheating. I myself HAVE done it, many many people have and none too difficult if you devote enough time. I've taken the liberty on editing your post and editing out your false information. Please check out the AUP you recently agreed to when joining GT Planet. Thanks.

In an attempt to redeem myself...No it is not impossible to complete the games, I myself have, but for some strange reason it does not show 100%. Check your PS2 save file if you still have it, to be sure. Apparently PD screwed up at some point in the making and made it impossible for the "100%" mark to show. I just found this out, so I don't know the details myself. Ima google, smh.

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the only GT with the never-100% bug was GT2. There are tons of people on here who have achieved 100% on the PS2 games, just like you 👍

I'm at 99.1% in GT4 using primarily a wheel. I only am missing Missions 15, 18, and the dreaded 34. I have all golds except the coffee break on I-A, and Super License is all silver except 2 are gold. One of these days I will be a true 100%-er!!! Believe it!

You know what Steph? My bad. I was thinking of GT2 not GT4. In GT2 you can't get passed 98.2% i believe. sorry

I will not finish GT5, mainly because finishing is never my intent. I simply love being on the various tracks in one of a multitude of cars. To those of you who reach your completion goal, .

All the beer talk in this thread is making me thirsty and I only have one Hobgoblin left :odd: .

Edit: That's what I get for focusing on one thread while writing in another. All the beer talk was happening in the Anticipation Withdrawl thread. What's wrong with you people. :)

Nevermind, I'll have one for this thread too...

I never got 100% in GT4 so I think thats the correct answer for GT5.

This, I think, But barring the missons(if they re-appear) I'd say 1-2 years but I'mma play it 'til GT6 arrives no question.

I haven't finished a GT game to date and I have owned them all sans GT5P. I always get into the low-mid 90% complete but don't ever finish.

I'm not interested in finishing GT5. There will always be races I don't want to do and there's no chance of me spending time in B Spec.

Because it's funny...

Last GT I finished 100% was GT2. GT3 I had one endurance left, and same with GT4. Technically I still haven't beat Prologue because I still need to own two cars (GTbyC and F2007).

Like Dave said, I'd need to know the size of the game before I can make a true guess, but seeing as how it's most likely larger than GT4, I doubt I'll ever finish. Unless our B-Spec buddies have improved from their idiocy in GT4; I definitely wasn't doing that last 24H enduro myself, but literally every time I let Bob do it, he fudged it up, so I just gave up on 100%. If they can actually pass without bumping into the back end of the car infront... perhaps I'll have 100% afterall.

Speaking of BOB. Since you can start races on the internet while away from the PS3 and leave BOB to do everything, does it mean we no longer have to do the PIT stop duties? As far as I know, in GT4 you were in charge of the things that happened during a pit stop otherwise the car would just sit there. To me that was very stupid cause I still had to sit there and watch everything. If I have to sit there the entire race, I might as well be racing myself.

So just because you can't reach game completion without cheating yourself nobody is able to?
Pretty limited viewpoint if you ask me but if that delusional overconfidence works for you and even makes you cope better with reality by simply changing it to suit your ability then fine but don't suggest those who did are liars or that it's unachievable in itself.
I've completed GT4 not in one go initially but over a long period, not just because of time constraints but being distracted by the things not directly related to game completion because I simply enjoyed them.

It was only when the save game data on my memory card went corrupted and I lost the complete 100% finished game with about 900 cars I had to do it all over again, with some time on my side and out of complete anger and frustration of losing what I'd achieved over months and months I completed the whole game to a 100% within 2 weeks and after a few months ( and using B-spec much more than I previously did ) my car count had reached a 1000.
Sad? Yes. Can everyone do it? Maybe not. Impossible to do, even twice? Nope.

I just put "BOB" in the drivers seat and set the first pit stop up and after that "BOB" would stop when needed and the pit stop would be the same. I did all 24 hr races except only done 1 "La Sarthe" didn't do the one without the chicane.
