But thats using a hybrid car which isn't included in the real game which means you can't get it.

The Diablo & several other cars are on the NTSC version, but are HIDDEN. (They ARE NOT Hybrids.) Apparently they were to be included in the line-up but last minute "Licensing" problems forced SONY to "Hide" them. To tell the truth I don't think they were FULLY developed as it's quite a chore to tune them properly. JMO...UB57

And that's why I restricted myself to a one line answer - sara said she (errr... probably a she) had the European version, also known as PAL. The car is unavailable in the PAL version, whatever you do.

The Diablo was removed, I believe, as part of a legal wrangle. PD acquired the rights to the specific car - the Nomad Diablo JGTC from the owner. Lamborghini complained because they hadn't acquired rights to use the body-shape of the Diablo from them, and were worried it could cause legal complications with their binding contract with EA. The first release in Japan had the car included in the game. They recoded the game to remove the car, but either didn't want to or didn't have time to remove the car from the disc. The EU/PAL version came last of all, by which time they'd removed all of the "hidden" cars bar the Skyline GT-R Mspec, clearly to make room for all those extra F1 cars we got.

Well you CAN technically get it using an X-Port but what you get is the Diablo's insides with a Daihatsu POS body on it, so it looks like a bleeding roller skate.

This is also true for the Porsche, and all the 'Sample' cars.

Now if PD had only spent the time replacing all those 'samples' and the Diablo and Porsche with some nice F1s......

I'm getting sick of not having a couple of really good cars in the game because EA holds exclusive rights to their name.
