All this talk about GT6 and GTA lately and I was thinking the other day what in the heck happened to the S.E.M.A. cars that were supposed to get added. Are they going to gt6? Any speculations here?

They are on GT5. The most recent one is 2010 or 2011 I think. The HPA TT, The G37, the Art Morrison Corvette and some other ones in the new car dealership, there is a logo that specifies where the car came from ie. Pebble Beach, SEMA etc.

They are probably saving those SEMA and Pebble Beach cars for GT6. Which makes me wonder, are they going to remodel the previous SEMA winners, like the Buick Special?

According to Kaz, the '73 Camaro is supposed to be in GT5. We'll see what happens with next months update.

They are probably already modeled, perhaps next dlc? if not, then maybe GT6.

Expect them in 6, and not before then.

Totally agree, "maaaaaayyyyyybbbbeeee" the Z28, in GT5 but nothing more :(

I thought the Camaro was supposed to be in GT5, but the Camaro, along with the rest of the winners will more than likely be in GT6.

People said the same thing on this forum until it was proven that RUF was indeed it's own manufacturer.

Agreed it really is exactly the same, they both take an existing car body and rebuild it completely so why would Rauh-Welt be less of a manufacturer than RUF.

Except RUF mostly gets new, unbuilt chassis and creates their cars. As far as I know, I've never seen an RWB that was a water-cooled Porsche.

The main difference is, is that Ruf puts their own badges on their products.

Well yes, but the main difference is that they put their own VIN number along with it. And the VIN number makes all the difference in the world when it comes to government sanctioning on business classification.

Rauh-Welt's are VIN'd as Porsche's.

Only the last 2 and the Camaro in those pictures have won the actual GT award so those 3 along with another SEMA Camaro are the ones to expect in GT6, see the Master Car List for more details/pics :)

Game inclusion only went to the 'Best in Show' I thought? And we have all 'em already... excecpt for the two Camaros:

Buick Special '62 (2003)
HPA Motorsports Stage II R32 (2004)
AEM S2000 (2005)
Art Morrison Corvette '60 (2006)
HPA Motorsports FT565 twin turbo Audi TT (2007)
High End Performance G37 (2008)
Grand Touring Garage 1970 Ford Mustang Trans-Cammer (2009)
1969 Chevrolet Camaro (2010)
1971 Chevrolet Camaro (2011)

Mainly because Ruf is registred as an official manufacturer according to German law (just like Alpina is), it's therefor mostly a legal issue before anything else.

You are correct, but the '69 Camaro was SEMA GT award winner in 2010 and the '71 was in 2011. And the other two won the Pebble Beach Best in Show GT award in 2010 and 2011. Hopefully that clears things up.

GT Trophy isn't for Best in Show at Pebble. But I remember Kaz did hint about the XNR maybe making its way into GT6, not sure if he ever talked about the Abarth. Both have been pretty much ruled out for GT5 though :(

Gran Turismo Trophy is awarded to the most significant car present that balances both artistic beauty and performance at the highest level and is most desired for inclusion in "Gran Turismo."
Best of Show is chosen from among First in Class winners through a simple tally of the independent and secret ballots cast by the Chairman, the Chief Judge, the Chief Honorary Judge, the Chief Class Judges, the Honorary Judge Team Leaders, and select Class Judges. Since 2006, the final Best of Show Nominees have also been announced.

First, Second and Third in Class winners are selected by our Class Judges based on originality, authenticity, and proper and excellent preservation or restoration.

I really dont get how they didn't choose the most sexy Porsche on earth, but instead we get a Camaro sometime in the future that really don't appeal to me :/

Kaz likes the story behind the car as much as the car itself. Mary built that Camaro and built it to drive and drive it hard. Even if we did have the Porsche license, he probably would've frowned on someone representing a car that was built by someone else and used essentially for marketing material. That Rauh-Welt will end up being a car-show queen most likely.

RWB Cars still have the Porsche badge. RUF cars are technically stripped down to nothing and rebuilt in such a way it's not exactly a Porsche anymore.

Your probably right but if that RWB Porsche entered the competition that time and won, there could be a RWB dealer in GT5 like the other Sema cars have, also i have seen a lot of RWB Porsche's driving hard. But maybe in GT6 will change. I would have chosen the Porsche anytime for that Camaro but thats just personal. 👍
