Which car are you looking forward to drive in GT5?

I think he means JUST the people that think exotics are the end all of games. Those people can't appreciate a simple Civic Si or something you know? They just horde money to buy what the image of fast/exotic is. These are the same people that usually can't even keep the thing on the road & quit the race after becoming dead last.

I thought the Veryon wasn't that amazing around a track? I mean sure it makes up for time in the straights, but didn't top gear have it behind a few non 1001 hp vehicles?

Im looking forward to tuning/hot laps more than anything. I don't really care what car as long as its fun to me. Hopefully they keep the classics in the game, the 67 fastback would be sick in this new engine.
The thing is, with something like GT5, you can play the game however you like and still extract maximum enjoyment out of it. Some people are only interested in driving the fastest and most exotic cars, and that's fine. I can relate to that. Others are happier driving more down-to-earth cars, and that's fine too. Again, I can appreciate a stock Golf GTI just as much as an Enzo in terms of gameplay.

It's true that the Veyron is not really a track car, and yes, Top Gear has Veyron currently in 7th place overall. That's still mighty fast, but it's not about actual horsepower. 1001 is a claim to fame, but horsepower/weight is where it really matters, and here the Veyron loses out. Of course a whole manner of other factors play a part in how a car handles around a track.

@ICEMAN_ZIDANE, taking a car out for a spin means taking a car out for a drive - usually in real life, but also applies to racing games.

quote blademask/TokyoDrift...
thx blademask that is what i wanted to say
yes you are right too TokyoDrift but much people here dont know much about cars,i think they are watching only TVs which dont show real sport cars ...they read 1001 ps and think the car is fast on a race track lol...
thx for the information but its not true, you cant take cars like SL 65 AMG Black SeriesSLS/ out for a trip that are real sport cars ...

Oh, I have plenty cars who I will see/drive in GT5, but it had take hours to say all of them so I have done a selection of them.

Lotus Sunbeam (1979-1982) 2,2 L4, topspeed 125mph and 0-100 on 7sec

Lexus LF-A!!! It will be even better if the Nurburgring racer that they used for development is also included. I honestly believe the inclusion of this car is part of the wait (along with the McLaren MP-412C), and I'm sure it will be worth it. They better get the sound right on this one....

Lexus LF-A, eh just don't get it. It just seems like a bad mashing of a ferrari and Audi r8 with a hint of 350Z to me.

It may drive pretty well but I wouldn't use it much.

As GTracerRens stated shame Porche aren't in there. Above all else I love to drive a whole handful of Porsche's. Maybe next time. *Sigh

Like most japanese sport/supercars, it's, as jeremy clarkson describes them, an engineer's car. Weird shapes and angles and holes designed with a specific purpose. I like cars like that. The LFA one of my favorites but I can appreciate what they were going for.

Speaking of the LF-A: I was the first person to make fun of the LF-A. I hated it. Thought it was a joke; looked ugly, would be slow, etc.

But I now have a change of heart. It looks pretty darn sexy. And it should perform quite well. It surely won't be the dominant car, but as far as Japanese cars are concerned, it will be in the top 3.

I'm sure it would perform pretty well and I get that the shape is engineered to drive well and have aerodynamic flow and such. And it's not like its real ugly or anything. It just looks like a rehash of other concepts already done and therefore a bit cut and paste in appearance which I don't think is brilliant.

I'm sure many people love it. Just saying i'd likely pick at least 50 other cars i'd want to drive first before it.

So you prefer to drive cars based on how they look?

I want the PEUGEOT 908 Hdi/FAP, last year's winner at 24h LeMans, and, of course - my name says it - the MAZDA FURAI !!!

Cockpit view + TT Pro Physics + Nurburgring + RUF CTR Yellowbird '87

Now Imagine that, in full HD, with you driving and without the imminent risk of dying. I can almost feel...

Simple interior, nice steering wheel, old Porsches are epic, so are the RUFs.
