Which car are you looking forward to drive in GT5?

Good choice SrRd RacinG, if it is included ( fingers crossed ) It will definitely be on my first to buy list ( although I would choose a different colour ).
A V8 911 ( yeah I know Ruf RGT-8 ), I mean what's not to like.:D

I would bet today that it won't be in. However, the RT-12, CTR3, and the newer RGTs should be in. And that's good! :)

^^ I'm buying all the available Rufs since the first day. I want to see how a RR car handles under the new physics.

And I'm eagerly waiting for the CTR3, the definitive pure blood RUF supercar. 👍

Well it could be in, it was introduced some time ago and they probably already have the other 911-based Ruf's modelled so if they chose it to be in, they probably could model it on those with some alterations and a new engine programmed in ( although it is probably much harder than I make it out to be ).
Anyway you're right about the other models, at least we'll most likely have them.:)

Yes Dan_, that might be a handful with improved physics, I might try the Beetle and Karmann-Ghia first.....

Well, I probably won't buy any of them just yet, because the ZR1 will easily be the best bang for your buck in GT5. But I am really interested in getting a RT-12 or a CTR3 for the German or European championship.

That can be too much :nervous:, try a Fiat500L with ballast on R3 tires, safety comes first pal. ;)

Oh, and I'm just Dan, the '_' underline character is just to differ me from another Dan username, which is not used anymore.

The ZR-1 is probably good value but also an enormous challenge to drive I guess ( in a nice way ), really like the partly plexiglass engine cover as a nod to those Ferrari engine-covers ( although these are mid-engined ).

Btw, saw an original silver Stingray passing me from the opposite side of the road the other day, can only hope that will also be included again.:)

Okay Dan ( without_ ).............I'm just analog to distinguish myself from all the digital ones.

Maybe the ZR1 isn't that hard to tame, Jezza was trying to powerslide the car, which I would never do, I'm sure it has tons of grip if you enter slowly in the corners and has a very tractable torque curve until the mid RPM range .

I've tried many times the Z06 on N1 tires around Suzuka in GT5P, and as soon as you get used to the savagery of the low-RPM-range torque, it's a piece of cake. I'm not sure how it will handle on the new physics, but it just can't be harder than the Ford GTLM.

Monster grip. Over a G.

I am sure it'll be fun to drive, perhaps a bit challenging. But without a doubt if the ZR1 can do 7'26 on the Ring, that it will translate to an even faster car in the video game (no fear of dying).

The Z06 is actually one of my favourite cars in Prologue for the way it drives and sounds ( not for its hideous interior design ) and hope the ZR1 is even better but with the new physics ( which is anyone's guess at this time ) it might be a b*tch to handle, but so may be a lot of cars.
Can't wait...........:)

Not only that, when driving the Ram you hardly notice you're pushing a 2CV along.:)

nice, I guess you can get those 1hp retro models around the ring with the same technique? (I was always getting stuck on the first decent rise in the track)

Looks like Mr. KY and I have similar tastes! Another brutal and beautiful American supercar enters the ring.

I got a strong feeling this, (Devon GTX), will find a comfortable spot in GT5.

Woah there. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Brutal yes, but not remotely appealing.

LOL. America fails once again. The slope of that nose has create a lot of air resistance.
The succeeded at making the viper, even uglier.

Your taste is funky. Is there any car that appeals to you, your majesty?

Yes, the gt3 is just fine.
LOL. When I was younger I had no interest in comfort. I just wanted power, so I got a Cobra. A year later my friend got a 1996 v6 mustang. Did you know that the interior in my 2003 cobra was pretty much as pathetic as his bottom of line "sports" car? It still took me until maybe last year to understand why Ferrari Lambo, and Aston charge so much more for their cars while Chevy can turn out Vettes with just as much power but for 1/4 of the price.

lol@ dissing your own country. Ugh, you never learn!

Haha, as I'm on "neutral" ground here, although I have to say I'm in general unimpressed by most American cars build since about the mid-seventies, but that Devon GTX looks great and original to my eyes.
Maybe not from every single angle but at least it looks more like a sophisticated sportscar/GT than the usual butch muscle car-styling which seems to be predominant these days.:)

it looks like a sagaris

No, it doesn't, look up Devon GTX on the web and you'll find it doesn't look like anything else ( whether you like the shape or not, although I really like it ).

I'm not sure the Benz/Daimler were available in two-player mode, otherwise I would probably have tried the same technique although a 2CV handles far better i guess.;)

But it's wider, taller, and shorter than the Viper which it's based on. If the Viper is butch and this thing is even stockier, then?
I do agree with you that it looks less american and I guess more true to the sport coupe form, I still don't see it as more than a viper with a $400k price increase.

It's not just about dimensions but also proportions and styling, I have to do some research on the Devon as I know very little about it I must admit.
But I do really like the way it looks, I prefer it over the Viper, although since you pointed out the different dimensions I'm not sure it's totally based on the Viper ( I will come back to you about this ).
The car I'm showing below is the Bristol Fighter which only shares its engine with the Viper but otherwise is a completely different car both literally as it's a bespoke car made by Bristol but also in concept ( it's a European GT ) and it's also quite expensive.:)

I think you'll find it does! Don't get me wrong, it looks nice, but it instantly reminded me of the 2005 Ford Shelby GR1 Concept, and I don't really follow the motor industry:

Very similar styling cues from the raised front arches, wide rear section, long, flat continuous roof line to the way the back of the car suddenly cuts back on itself.

Not saying the GR1 didn't borrow styling cues from elsewhere either, but concept or not, for me it's a bit more original than the Devon GTX.

Well to me they look quite different ( but I really love the Shelby GR1 as well, would rather see Ford putting that car into production than the retro/carboncopy Ford GT, as it does look both original as well as borrowing cues from the past ), for instance the Shelby looks more biased to the rear which is also more sloping than the Devon and in profile the detailing on the front and rear wings of the Devon are totally different from any other car.
Both are gorgeous to my eyes ( the Shelby even more beautiful IMO ) but also different enough ( but largely the same concept ) to justify their existence.:)

Oh for sure they look different, but the similarities in their styling are quite obvious. There is definitely more of a bias towards the rear on the GR1. I can remember watching a show on TV where they were making the first prototype of it, and the rear of the car was the real focal point. Simply put, they should both be in GT5 :)

Think I watched the same show some years ago ( Discovery Channel? ) but anyway, although we might disagree about the similarities being obvious or not, at least we both seem to like each car and fully agree with you they should both be very welcome in GT5.:)
