I would bet today that it won't be in. However, the RT-12, CTR3, and the newer RGTs should be in. And that's good!![]()
^^ I'm buying all the available Rufs since the first day. I want to see how a RR car handles under the new physics.
Yes Dan_, that might be a handful with improved physics, I might try the Beetle and Karmann-Ghia first.....
Well, I probably won't buy any of them just yet, because the ZR1 will easily be the best bang for your buck in GT5. But I am really interested in getting a RT-12 or a CTR3 for the German or European championship.
The ZR-1 is probably good value but also an enormous challenge to drive I guess ( in a nice way ), really like the partly plexiglass engine cover as a nod to those Ferrari engine-covers ( although these are mid-engined ).
Maybe the ZR1 isn't that hard to tame, Jezza was trying to powerslide the car, which I would never do, I'm sure it has tons of grip if you enter slowly in the corners and has a very tractable torque curve until the mid RPM range .
I've tried many times the Z06 on N1 tires around Suzuka in GT5P, and as soon as you get used to the savagery of the low-RPM-range torque, it's a piece of cake. I'm not sure how it will handle on the new physics, but it just can't be harder than the Ford GTLM.
Not only that, when driving the Ram you hardly notice you're pushing a 2CV along.![]()

Looks like Mr. KY and I have similar tastes! Another brutal and beautiful American supercar enters the ring.
I got a strong feeling this, (Devon GTX), will find a comfortable spot in GT5.
Woah there. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Brutal yes, but not remotely appealing.
LOL. America fails once again. The slope of that nose has create a lot of air resistance.
The succeeded at making the viper, even uglier.
lol@ dissing your own country. Ugh, you never learn!
Woah there. When they make a car that has the look and feel that matches its power, I'll maybe change my mind.
Your taste is funky. Is there any car that appeals to you, your majesty?
How about the RUF in my avatar?

it looks like a sagaris
nice, I guess you can get those 1hp retro models around the ring with the same technique? (I was always getting stuck on the first decent rise in the track)
Haha, as I'm on "neutral" ground here, although I have to say I'm in general unimpressed by most American cars build since about the mid-seventies, but that Devon GTX looks great and original to my eyes.
Maybe not from every single angle but at least it looks more like a sophisticated sportscar/GT than the usual butch muscle car-styling which seems to be predominant these days.![]()
But it's wider, taller, and shorter than the Viper which it's based on. If the Viper is butch and this thing is even stockier, then?
I do agree with you that it looks less american and I guess more true to the sport coupe form, I still don't see it as more than a viper with a $400k price increase.

I think you'll find it does! Don't get me wrong, it looks nice, but it instantly reminded me of the 2005 Ford Shelby GR1 Concept, and I don't really follow the motor industry:Look up Devon GTX on the web and you'll find it doesn't look like anything else ( whether you like the shape or not, although I really like it )
Looks nice, but doesn't look too original to me - instantly reminded me of the 2005 Ford Shelby GR1 Concept:
Very similar styling cues from the raised front arches, wide rear section, long, flat continuous roof line to the way the back of the car suddenly cuts back on itself.
Not saying the GR1 didn't borrow styling cues from elsewhere either, but for me, it's a bit more original than the Devon GTX.
Oh for sure they look different, but the similarities in their styling are quite obvious. There is definitely more of a bias towards the rear on the GR1. I can remember watching a show on TV where they were making the first prototype of it, and the rear of the car was the real focal point. Simply put, they should both be in GT5Well to me they look quite different ( but I really love the Shelby GR1 as well, would rather see Ford putting that car into production than the retro/carboncopy Ford GT, as it does look both original as well as borrowing cues from the past ), for instance the Shelby looks more biased to the rear which is also more sloping than the Devon and in profile the detailing on the front and rear wings of the Devon are totally different from any other car.
Both are gorgeous to my eyes ( the Shelby even more beautiful IMO ) but also different enough ( but largely the same concept ) to justify their existence.![]()
