Without a doubt the Suzuki Verso, it makes the most real life impression of my vacuumcleaner, the similarities are uncanny ;).

For me i would say the tuned vette, sometimes i take the car out just to listen to it.

Any of the American V8's; the F40 and 512BB...The Ferrari F1 sounds pretty cool, too.

Best: Viper SRT-10.
Good Sounds: Any american and german V8.
Worst: Any japanese 4 cylinder and ferrari's V8.

SL 55 AMG '02 Hands down, way down imo :D

For road cars: NSX-R, DB9, 599 and Z06.
For race cars: Amuse, Elise Tuned (both), GTLM and F2007.

Best: Nissan R89/R92/R390 AND the Mazda 787B
Good: Any Le Mans race car, particularly the Audi R8 and the Bentley
Bad: Mercedes-Benz's classics from the late 19th century

i like ferrari sound, especialy 599 and 430. its too similar to real sound.
And of course the F1.
The M3 in the game hasnt good sound, the real sound its strong.

Most realistic, F1 and Integra Honda
Most Unrealistic if I may, BMW M3 and Ford ST.

My favourite sounding cars are the tuned Elises and the F2007(obviously)

however the most disappointing sounding car for me is the M3 as it is my favourite car but it lacks any real grunt to it.

I'm looking to buy a decent surround sound system when I finally get a Bravia, can't wait to hear the Real Driving Simulator.

My favourite is the Amuse 2000. That exhaust sound is just fenomenal.
The Ferrari sound is enjoyable when driving them, although I'm not sure if that's what they would actually sound like.

Off topic: Prize for worst sound imo goes to the Suzuki Swift Sport. This is the car I drive every day in real life and the GT5P sound (and handling) are nowhere near the real deal.
M3 also sounds awfull. I have no clue what it sounds like in real life, but I reckon it doesn't sound like a hair dryer ;)

This is all about personal preference. And is undoubtedly influenced by the sound setup (and its settings) that each person listens to the game with. Hope this does not come across as shooting my mouth off here: I have a 12" Polk audio sub and two Infinity towers up front, each with its own powered internal sub. (plus 4 surround speakers and a center channel). It all goes through a Sony receiver - though not a real fancy one. I do not come anywhere near to cranking it. If I play w bare feet on the carpet, I can feel it. The sub will rattle stuff on a glass table and make my dog jump off the couch and head for quieter ground. A replay of a Ford GT race is loaded full of trackside-like staccato 'zoom's. I won't say that's the end all be all, but it is pretty fun to listen to. :)

The F2007 and NSX make the best sound I think, F2007's is the most realistic of all.

There's a few. F2007, Amuse 350Z, Tuned Clio, Z06, etc.

Then of course there's the bad ones. ('05 STi, Audi R8, etc)

Havnt been playing this title long but I took out a viper in an a class event at the high speed ring. Driving cockpit view all I could hear was a loud whoosing sound which was really annoying. I have the sounds set to living room. May question is, is it supposed to sound like that?

I suppose it was supposed to be wind and road noise.

I love the f2007's and amuse's sounds.
I have noticed though that loads of cars sound like really dodgy diesels at tickover.

Amuse s200 sounds lovely in chase cam
F12007 sounds beatufil although in replays it can sound a bit weird on the fly-by
