I just went back and re-did a bunch of license tests to get silver on all of them, and in doing so I did that test with the Mercedes-Benz 190E on Nurburgring. I had forgotten how great that thing sounds. It's very unique - it revs high like a Honda, but the sound is so much more substantial.

A stock Shelby Mustang G.T. 350R has a pretty sweet exhaust note, I've discovered.

Ford GT40. I turn up the volume when ever I drive this car.

The SLR mclaren, sounds like a P51 Mustang. And the 190 sounds great as well.

I read on here that PD incorporated actual engine sounds from some vehicles if true.
Has anyone compromised a list of cars that have the actual sounds recorded from the vehicle by PD???

I have some cars in mind but some are suspect.

fully tuned civic type r 2004 has the best sound ever in high rev
and maybe the alfa romeo 147 twin spark at idle

I really liked the E55 amg sound. I could feel it even when the sound wasn't very far up. Also, the caterham 2d sounds a lot like an airplane when you get higher in the rev range. I guess the Mine's skyling is one of my favorite sounding turbo tuned cars.

.... the caterham 2d sounds a lot like an airplane when you get higher in the ...

I am not sure that was the C word you were looking for?

My personal favorites are the Trial Celica, Spoon Civic, and any Honda S2000! :)

Hmm I would have to say a fully tuned 05' Ford Mustang
DUUDADADUUDADADUUDADADUUDADA ( I love rumpudy idles :O )

Of course Peugeot 206 Rally car. Its sound isnt good in idle, but when
U R throttling! OH MEN!!!
My another favourite is my Skyline, witch was made in the 80´.
It has over 600 hp!! U can feel the intensity when U fully throttle!!

Shelby Mustang Gt350R full mods but stock exhaust and the 63 Vette Race car
wat about the '05 Ford GT??

Shelby 350R hands down gets it by a mile in my opinion.

I love the sound of the idle on the GT350 when it sits there. No beating that sound! But for driving, like I said it's gotta be the Shelby Cobra.

I tried searching for facts on which cars have the closest recordings of the actual car make but nothing came up.:(

I love all the S2000's even the R1 Titan I think that car sounds almost identical to the actual cars upgrade. If you do a search on the R1 Titan exhaust or any related video with S2000's equipped Amuse parts. Plenty of clips to compare. :)

I just found my SSR in my garage, I forgot I had it  That thing has an AWESOME sound when you tune it up to the max.

the viper SRT-10 full tuned has that real low rumble, 2nd in line, ford GT with race exhaust 3rd, the lightning which is really cool sounding when you put the race exhaust on it.

The ford GT40
What a Noise!!!!

Not trying to flame or anything... But it seems that in every thead like this, there are always 3 or 4 people putting this car down.

Dunno how that one got in there? :dunce:

Honestly I use to love skylines, but their over hyped now-a-days. Seems everyone and their brother who's seen F&F and 2F2F are now die-hard skyline fans.

Great car, but 90% of their fan base no know nothing about it. Not saying thats you Max_DC, just the skylines fan base in general.

To be honest I completely agree with that.. I used to love Skylines! As soon as I saw it in Fast and Furious I just knew that everyone would start to obsess it without knowing a damn thing about it.. Ahh well theres much better cars still :)

the R34 pace car. sounds a bit like a Zonda F :D

Yeah, that's the trick. For me, it's not about which cars sound "better" than other cars, but which ones sound more real. If I hear a car that sounds like I'm driving the real deal, regardless of whether it's a monster supercharged V8, I'm going to enjoy that sound more than even the most bad-ass "fake" car sound. Which, sadly, 99% of these cars has.

The BMW Z4 has my vote as one of the most real-sounding cars in the game. Granted, I haven't driven the whole range of 'em, but that's definitely one of the better ones.
