Off the top of my head, All Le mans cars(BMW V12 RACE CAR OMG!!!!) caterham.. etc, what else?

The Prowler and Tank Car both have visible interiors. Actually every car from GT4 that let you put the top down should have their interiors modeled.

Caterham 7
Pescarolo c60 hybride- Judd race car '05
Pescarolo courage - Judd gv5 '04
Pescarolo courage C60 - Peugeot '04
Chapparel 2j
Toyota 7
Audi r8 race car '01
BMW V12 LMR
Suzuki GSXR-4
Audi r8 race car '05 (team Oreca)
FGT
Chrysler prowler

I'm pretty sure I have all the standards, so this may be the complete list. Pics to come :sly:

Ps. Please ignore the spaces, it's how I'm keeping track of which cars have had photos done

Edit: all replays saved, prowlers interior looks to be really good

Edit 2: getting there with the photo's. Quality seems to vary alot

Edit 3: weird, I managed to find a sweet spot in the Toyota 7 and '01 Audi which allow in game photos of the interior (while the others say "please move a little further away"... Sweet spot also available for '05 Audi

Edit 4: all photos taken. Should be up in about 20 mins...

Hmm... it appears he Pescarolo c60 hybride- Judd race car '05 & Caterham 7 photo's were lost in transit :ouch:
As i said in the earlier post, the prowler is really neat, can't wait to cruise in that beast :)

Overall, the quality varies massvely from one cockpit to the next, most of which featured gauges that were extremely fuzzy, almost as though the car was moving reaaly quick when it wasn't at all. When looking at the official screenshots, it looks as though they have upped the quality anyway. Making an hour of work pointless :banghead:

Open standard cars got a detailed interior because people would be able to see them. Closed standard cars didn't because people wouldn't be able to see them. However, PD now surrender to the fans and sacrifice the whole idea of this design choice. It's like PD has lost their vision while keeping dedication high. :indiff:

bare in mind people the standard cockpits dont have moving steering wheels just incase peoples hopes are too high for the standards...

Well gerdy, i think they have moving steeringwheels. Look at a standard replay, the driver clearly moves the wheel. I noticed, that all standard cars have the same "black fog" in the cockpit. The drivers in standards, only have a visible upper body, then the cars are just black inside (all "closed" cars).

They most likely will have made them movable...

See this one:

The hand on the steering wheel moved from the neutral position to this one. It would be foolish not integrating moving steering wheels, they could've just let it out then.

look at the pics above, audi bmw and suziki have floating hands and static wheel.. some may be moveable but not all i would say

I just drove the Caterham and neither the steering wheel nor the hands were moving when I saw the replay, which was odd :indiff:

But in that pic both the hand and the wheel seem to be tilted to the left. Maybe PD did managed to make the steering wheels work.

Edit: Drove it again today and the wheel did move. Maybe it was a bug yesterday. Pescarolo's wheel didn't move though so yea, some wheels might move and others might not.

Oh yeah! I forgot! 2J and FGT! I guess they will sort of be premium after :D and the BMW V12 should be cool :D

Maybe the movement of the steering wheel is sacrificed in the replay, like low res reflection in premium car interior mirrors.

Isn't the VW Nardo also slightly modeled inside? Oh and I hope all convertibles which had a fully modeled interior in GT4 will have it in GT5 too.

May the Plymouth Superbird have the inside modeled?

It has a soft top, but I forget if it was able to be put down in GT4...

It's not a soft top, it's a vinyl hard top and can't be put down in GT4, neither in real life by the way.

I was never able to look inside of the Nardo (never tried) but considering the Caterham as detailed as it was, I would believe the convertibles will retain their detail from GT4.

The Nardo isn't as detailed as other convertibles (that's why you could race it normally in GT4), but I am sure it has some subtle details, like a special wheel etc. I'm sceptical about convertible cockpits, because all Standard convertibles in GT5 are closed, but if they use the highest LOD versions of the cars, we might be lucky.

May I ask how do you figure this my friend? I'd love for it to be(and that '99 subie rally car!)... but :( probably not...
EDIT Oh I see. I didn't mean literally. I meant for a standard, it's one of the most detailed and if you were to take a replay pic of it, there's not much bad you can say about it. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if it were to be "converted" to premium. It's, also, no surprise that most of the race cars in GT5 are some of the most detailed cars in GT5.

Have you not seen it?

There is so much going on in their (from what I can tell seeing it rotate in the garage). Do you have that one? I'll post a pic if you want.
It's edges are smooth, not jagged for one. Considering this is a slow thread, I'll post a pic up later on tonight. Now that you probably won't be back until tomorrow.

The bottom half of the interior and driver are blank as all standards are so that's obviously another reason why it wasn't a matter of just "adding" the interior view to standards. But as you see, it's modeled well enough, I'm expecting the interiors of racing cars to be most detailed because PD already went through the "trouble" of adding a generous amount of detail to them already. It seems logical.

Admittedly, the detail of the car isn't great, but I think you can see what I mean about it looking better than most. I don't think people take pictures of standards to show off their detail. I think they look better than most people expect during replays and when you're actually trying to make a photo look good. Gameplay most importantly, it's still good. Like with the trees (just not as basic), there's not much of reason to be focusing in on the detail of the door/window edges (the car's body isn't jagged which was what I was talking about before).

I found out that the straight where the starting line is at slopes upwards so minutely that the car will roll backwards 1 mph. If you face the other way, the car rolls the same way, in case anyone was slightly wondering.
