I really like the spirit of this thread. One of the best aspects of GT is being able to thrash your real life car (or any car for that matter) around the track, and have reasonable expectations that it would perform that way real life(thanks for the excellent physics, PD!). That being said the only car I have owned that is on the list is the mark IV jetta/bora. Ironically, I would rather drive it without the vr6 and 4motion. Maybe next iteration will include some TDI's, as I would really like to race against comparable gassers. Gobs of torque FTW!

00 camaro ss, driven not owned. I have owned an 02 Trans Am WS6 which is a similar package on the same chassis.

04 gto driven, not owned

The dodge truck. Probably 5 of my friends have one.

I've driven a Lotus Elise a few times. My previous boss had one.

98 Tauras sho. My wifes parents bought one new and just recently sold it.

I like the 00 Cobra R. My wife drives the exact opposite of that car, an 02 v6 mustang. Same color though:sly:

05 mustang gt, I have driven one of these a few times. I detail cars and one of my customers has one.

One of my cousins friends has an 03 lightning. I had the pleasure of driving it once.

I'm on my first car now, a Mk3 Golf VR6... So I can quite disappointedly say 'none' :(

Closest I guess would be a cross of the 4Mo Bora V6 and Mk4 GTI??

Wow surprised to see so many 240s

Honda civic ek
Nisan 240sx with 253,000 miles and still running
Honda s2000

I didn´t have a own car yet but i drove (=at least a couple of minutes and more than 1st gear ;) ) some of the cars that are in GT5. :)

Volkswagen Golf IV GTI
Mercedes-Benz A 160 Avantgarde
Honda S2000 '01
Nissan 350Z
Nissan 370Z
Nissan GTR
Caterham 7

Im still on my first car, just got it a few months ago... when it was broken... lol, but it was a steal at just $1800 for it. Mint condition, just has its odds and ends that needs replacing. 1987 Mazda RX7 Sport. So it's not exactly in the game, but the 89 is in. Mines not a turbo, so i'll enjoy trying a rex with one :)

Most the cars I have have been in GT in some variant:

87 Honda civic 3dr 1.5
90 Honda civic 3dr si with zc swap
96 Honda civic 3dr with b18c5 swap
04 Honda S2000 AP2
04 Honda Element
2005 Infiniti G35 coupe 6spd
2006 Infiniti G35 coupe 6spd
2010 Nissan Nismo 370zMy current fun car
2010 Subaru forester-in the game I don't know?

These are in the game cars, i've had more

Have to say none. Closest I suppose would be the Focus RS. (I have 2010 version.) Although I have driven the older version as a comparison.

My dad has had an MR2 (1988), Nissan 200SX turbo (1990 I think), Celica GT4A (1988) and Subaru Impreza WRX STi (1998 I think). I drove all of these but not enough to be added as per the OP.

yeah quite a few 240's out there and BMW drivers (you know it makes sense) Theres a thread up at the moment named "posertives" go get on it if your not already, this and that one seems to be of a similar ilk.

Quite suprised there isn't many (if any) MX5 drivers posting?

Quick question guys, I take it your going to have your in game car the same colour as your real life counterpart , but more importantly are you going to be tempted to have 2 of each? One standard one tuned to max with aero parts ect ect? Might be a bit too hardcore for some I know But it's nice to have the standard version as a comparison and to nip back to do some of the lower class races when you just have a spare 15 mins.

First, Hyundai Tiburon, 2001(?). Car looked like a muscle car.

Then I have owned a "Porsche copy", a Toyota MR2, the new one, before the production was closed.

Currently I'm driving Mercedes-benz SLK.

And probably in the spring, I'll be driving a new american car: Charger, Camaro, Corvette, Mustang... lets see...

The SLK is a very nice car. Is it a 2010? My dad has one.

Yep, going to have several pearl white Nissan 370's. Tuned, stock. Maybe even different color!

Honda Civic '04 (Black - EX Model) which I sold to get my Honda Element '06 which is a different year, but really all they changed was the quarter panels from that hideous gray to match the rest of the car 👍 I was hoping my new Civic Hybrid would be on the list too, aw well.

I have owned lots of cars, a few that were close to ones in the game but none that were the same year/model.

i owned a Peugeot 206 RC
i drive a Lamborghini gallardo LP 560 on track 👍

HS: i owned other sport cars witch unfortunaly are'nt in GT5; SEAT leon TFSI 200, and Twingo renault sports (133)

friend just got the civic hybrid.....very funky machine, oldskool back end with split rear screen, interior is amazing too.

There are plenty of cars in the GT5 list which with a little tinkering could be brought prety much to the spec of your particular car even if the adsact spec and year isn't included. I think if you took one manufacturer and tried to cover every year and model they ever did you'd hit the 1,000 mark easily.

One thing that should be fun is lining up your bog standard looking car which has been tuned and moded to nines and upsetting those sitting alongside you in more exotic looking motors LOL First to paste a ferrari in a mini gets 1000+ Kudos from me LOL

Taking the more modest cars as far as you can through the compertiton is something which allways brings a smile to your face and offers a unique challenge. Something I used to love online in Forza, "whats that" theyed ask as you sat on the line in an online race......"erm a civic"......would come the reply followed by giggles as you exted the first corner out in front of the exotics, painting it beige allways adds insult to injury LOL

Ha Ha,

I remember in forza, racing a engine and 4WD conversion on a VW Siroco from the 90's. Nobody knew what it was, but they were chasing it around not able to catch me!!!

Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STi Version V ‘98
Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STi Version VI ‘99
Lotus Elise ‘96
Nissan 350Z Gran Turismo 4 Limited Edition (Z33) ‘05
Pity my old RS2000 Escort isn't in there, that was cool :D

And my wife has:
Suzuki SWIFT Sport ‘05
She has already said she want to drive it in the game :)

Renault 5 :)
Fiat PAnda
Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX Z31
Chrysler PT Cruiser (but convertible)

And i am sad my BMW Z3 roadster is not in there T-T ... almost all my cars are in GT5

The only car I've had that's in GT5 is my current 135i, I hope they got the ECU tuning right for turbo cars, I only have a $400 chip and am pushing 50hp more than stock, Forza 3 didn't get it anywhere close to right.

Well I have a Dodge Stealth if that counts, they are basically Mitsubishi 3000GT's with a Dodge emblem for those who don't know. I was really hoping there would be a Stealth in GT5 but I guess roughly 10 3kGT's will have to do. xD

Honda CRX Del-Sol

And I drive a Honda Accord..in europe..and it doesn't look like the euro-r model in the game 👎

@ gt hc
The accord euro-r is a JDM car. Alot imported into Ireland 2nd hand. K20 engine 220HP(same as JDM Civic EP3 & Integra DC5 typeR) recaro seats and small bodykit.

Honda CIVIC TYPE R (EK) ‘98
Toyota MR-S S Edition ‘99

and driven a few of the Integra,S2000, Skyline, Evo, 180sx models.
