Which corvette would you have?

Which of the corvettes on the current model range would u get? The grand sport, the 427, the ZO6 or the ZR1?

Probably the ZR1 honestly if I really had a choice. They each (besides the 427) have a unique little charm about them.

If I had to chose I'd probably go the 427 route because of it's heritage. That said they are all heritage vehicles, but something stands out to me and I can't quite put my finger on it.

I don't know why but I just can't find myself to like the ZR1... Maybe it's just the fact that its similarities to...the other Corvettes discourages me as well as the dress up parts on it. So I'd take the Z06, but definitely NOT the Carbon Edition.

Z06 has the bigger engine and can be had with the same suspension as the ZR1, take the Z06 and use the difference to upgrade the engine and run circles around the ZR1's.

427 hands down! Old cars with a lot of heritage attract me a lot more than some futuristic Citroën. If the 427 is unavailable, the Grand Sport would be my second choice due to its uniqueness.

I really really like the ZR1, but I think I'd have the 427. I've always wanted a Z06 Convertible. I'm surprised they never made a ZR1 convertible.

Base Corvette more than enough, but if Im allowed to dream, a Z06 with the Performance pack.
There's just something about that LS7 that reminds me so much of a race motor, and MRC shocks with the performance pack help put that power down.

A GS with a LS9 sounds nice to me though.

^That sounds nice though , No replacement for displacement is true but the 6.2 LS9 is big enoff and i do like the philosophy of hyped up smaller engines.

Don't like the look of the ZR1 (the extra accoutrements almost look like tacky aftermarket things compared to the Z06), and I'd prefer the revvy LS7 anyway.

Oh I didn't realize we were talking about every Corvette, I thought just the current lineup.

If I had to pick, I'd likely go with this:

with this as close runner up's.

I'd take any one of them in this particular order: ZR1 > Grand Sport > Z06. Now someone will ask, why would I pick the Grand Sport over the Z06? Well, the LS3 is more boost friendly than the LS7.

Of the current range, it really depends most on what you want out of your Corvette.

As much as the idea of a ZR1 sounds great on paper, ultimately it doesn't have the emotional pull that it's predecessor, and even stable-mates have. Although it would be very comfortable to live in day-to-day, ultimately, I'd wonder why I didn't go with the LS7 every time I started it up.

The differences between the Z06 and the 427 basically come down to two separate factors:

1) Collectibility
2) Drivability

The 427, being limited to only 427 units, will be a very collectible car 20+ years from now. If you're looking to invest in a model and use it lightly, that'd be the car for you. Otherwise, it basically being a Gran Sport with the LS7, I'm not entirely sure if it is the most justifiable decision.

So, of the high performance models, the Z06 makes the most sense. But even then, you've gotta break down the various options made available on that model. Do you spring for the Carbon package? What about the additional performance of the Z07 modifications? The price increases exponentially from there, and even then, I'm not entirely sure that'd be the best way to go.

I'd probably go with the bare-bones Z06. Get a set of the sticky Michelins. Call it good.

From the current Corvette range, I like the Z06 best. But the only Corvette I'd like to own would be a C2 Sting Ray. In fact, that's the only GM car I'd like to own.
