They both present their challenges. I think the "burg" is more grueling That's 84 turns to manage and if you have to do that for 4 hours or 24 that's like it's name "A Green Monster".

However, as a race I believe Seca is less forgiving. If you make a mistake you're gonna loose a lot of time, that's next to impossible to recover. It's like steering a ship you've gotta hit each turn near perfectly or you'll fall behind.

The Ring is way more challenging. I've run both countless times, I still think the Ring is harder. And it will retain that title until someone comes along and revolutionizes racetrack design IMO.

Definitely the infamous Nurburgring for me. I don't think it is much more forgiving than Laguna Seca anyway and the sheer length of it and amount of corners to master make it a tough challenge.

Nurburgring definitely.

Laguna Seca has been there since GT2, and it's shorter and far less demanding.

The ring is more difficult, simply for the fact that you will have to drive 13 miles to hit the same corner that you previously messed up on. At Laguna you will be back around to try a corner again in just a couple minutes.

Laguna Seca is easy, just give the edge of the corners a wide berth because you can make up time elsewhere. The only times you need to run wide are turn 3 and turn 5.

Nurb is very challenging in some area's, especially after a fast section. If you get a wheel on the grass your usually ok but not always. So you might use the same line onto the grass lap after lap but at somepoint you'll crash

What a stupid question.
A longer track with more corners is always more challenging.
Nurburgring, by a huge margin.

[/b].

My thoughts exactly!

Its like asking, which is harder to eat, a Vindaloo, or a bar of chocolate haha

Nurburgring will ALWAYS be the most demanding track on the planet, but also the most rewarding

You can accelerate in the sand on Laguna seca so.........

The 6 people that voted other wise have their head in the sand.

You can feel it's stupid. Your choice you could very well have just ignored it.

I find Nurburgring a FUN ride. 84 tunrs but to me it's EASIER to stay on point and manage the course than Seca. With Seca you miss take one wide and it takes A LOT to recover.

Simply said.. you are not pushing it as hard on the Nurb as you do at Seca.

Nurburgring definately. I understand where you're coming from with the Seca argument, but honestly it isn't too challenging. Even the corkscrew can be mastered with a bit of patience, but with the 'Ring, you can never truely master it. You can put in that perfect lap, but everyone has a turn or two that really pushes your buttons.

Nurburgring is more challenging the corner angle changes alot and the width of the track takes skill to make clean passes :)

Laguna also has very handy 'official' braking markers for virtually every corner, apart from the downhill left after the corkscrew (I think, not 100% sure though).

How many corners at the Ring has these markers - er.....um...can't think of any.

Sorry OP, but I agree with what's been posted already - you can't really compare these tracks seriously, they're just so different.

Bit of a silly poll IMO, maybe you should have changed it to something like "Is there any other track on GT5 that can be compared to the Ring?"....possibly, or "What other track is nearest to the Ring in terms of difficulty / feel?".

It takes a lot longer to remember every turn on the ring and it is difficult to run consistently clean laps... Seca is pretty easy!

I would say Nurburgring. And only taking into account the bumps in the road that are potential understeer-inducing killers.
Coupled with a narrow driving surface and continuous corners, it takes the cake.

More or less the same. Nurburgring is longer, so for time trial or first run it's a little bit more difficult, but in a race the long fast sections give you a nice break. Laguna doesn't really let up except for the main straight.

The last quarter of the Ring before the back straight is probably more difficult than any one part of Laguna though, mostly because of the bumps and elevation.

Strange question, really.

A lot of people here are saying that the Ring harder—because it's longer. This, in my opinion, is no valid reason. To compare them fairly, how about you're doing an hour of each. Length doesn't matter here; it's the feel of the track and the skills required for each.

The Ring is a beautiful mess of different corners, but surprisingly, not to many clear straights (proportionally). I thinks apex-sniping and line are a little less crucial at the Ring. It's really more about balls: Are you willing to hit that kerb at 150 mph? Will you risk touching the dirt to shave some tenths off of your lap?

Laguna, in comparison, is more like finesse driving. Every corner must be dead-on (like the OP says). Otherwise, you fall behind. Consistent, clean laps must happen every time here—no margin for error.

So, I think Laguna Seca is harder.

I feel that Laguna Seca is harder, simply put because if you mess up, you're losing a lot of time. Nurburgring is hard too, but on a ratio of screwing up and not being able to recover lost time, Laguna Seca takes that spot.

I drive angry at Laguna because I hate the track
On the other hand the ring is a wonderful track brilliantly designed, challenging, and a pure driving experience.
So I find the ring more challenging in a good way.

What's funny is I can't run a decent lap on Laguna Seca in GT5 to save myself. I'm way more confident on the Ring.

The 'ring is without comparison the most difficult of the two - delete that, the most difficult track in the world.
