I have 2 choices of steering wheel to buy,

1.Thrustmaster RGT Force Feedback Racing Wheel

or

2.Drive Force GT
Which one should I buy!
Please, Your Personal experiences can help me make my decision!

Hi,

on which platform are you going to use the wheel?

Both wheels have their pro's and con's.

The DFGT is fully compatible with PS3, the RGT is only compatible with some games on PS3. Both are fully compatible on the PC.

DFGT has 900° rotation, RGT has 270°. DFGT has 2 pedals, RGT has 3 pedals which are a bit better. Both cost nearly the same. DFGT has some special "Gran Turismo 5"-features. RGT has better paddle-shifters and in addition to that 2 progressive paddles, which can be used as a clutch or handbrake. DFGT has a larger rim (diameter).

On the PS3 I would choose the DFGT. I owned a DFP (forerunner of the DFGT) and used it for GT4/GT5 on PS2/ PS3. On the PC it depends on what you are looking for. I use my RGT on a PC for open wheel racing. I like it very much. So as I said, it depends... :)

Best regards,

Robert

But the DFGT can be set to 270 degrees in the Logitech software and/or most in-game software correct?

900 degrees gives you more versatility for what kind of cars you can drive.

To have options is always the best! 👍

I do not know how DFGT works on console. The DFP had only the choice between 900° and 180°.

So it would be interesting to know, if doridrift39 is searching a console or pc wheel. Also interesting for me, if DFGT has more than these 2 options (900/180) on a console. ???

DFGT Best wheel for GT5 imo, sure there are wheels with a gate and clutch pedals, but what's the point? Get into a 458, and you're stuck using the paddles anyway, if the prices were the same I'd still select the DFGT, especially since it has a larger diameter and 900 degrees rotation, 270 just seems odd.
