I love the placement of the Ducati (I think its the Ducati 999?) My wall is pretty similar to that actually, without the reliant and charger in sub zero. My mum was quizzing me on why she found the db9 (from the older cool wall) in the fridge :D

I'm fed up of clarkson asking 'Who wants to see the lap?' Excluding Lewis' lap we dont want to see any of them. I'd have thought the producers would have realised by now after the low pitched grunt of a yes from the audience each time.

Because you are a fat grumpy old man with lots of backwards views?

Yes. That, or I'm a pissed off 21 year old who has nothing better to do than complain about otherwise good cars to an audience that only cares somewhat because they have to?

That, and I don't remember who came up with the name. Maybe it was me? Either way, I'm still the YSSMAN.

Oh, and they never sent anything back about my 'TOPGEAR' license plate...

James May.
He comes across as the punching bag of the others and so I'd rather hear what he has to say for himself. After all, the insults went his way for why he got the driving lesson but in the end he was the one with a one-on-one learning session from Jacky Stewart in a TVR. :trouble:
Clarkson seems pretensious (sp?) and Hammond comes across as more of the young punk (if you will, I don't really think of Hammond as a punk).
The Stig would probably be my first choice if this poll were more in-depth. ;)

Tiff Needel over all of the above. :sly:
Top Gear others < James May < Stig < Tiff < Jacky :sly: 👍

PS. Clarkson several years ago > Clarkson today. :( :p

Captain Slow, for sure.

He knows stuff about cars, interesting stuff you can't figure out for yourself by looking at it. Jeremy can comment on how a car looks, or how it feels. NEWSFLASH: I can see how it looks, and if I drive it I too can feel it... James has interesting facts and opinions that aren't in the manual or in magazines. And opinions and thoughts that don't seem to pander to the norm. (or become the norm.)

Also, he appreciates the simplier things - much like myself. And he knows what a good car is, or used to be. It's not all about the numbers or steering response - it's about character and flair! And after that we can have an interesting chat (not a one-sided arguement like with Jeremy) over tea or wine and cheese.

James would make a great neighbour. 👍

And as for daan's Cool Wall - I'm glad those two BMWs are in the Seriously Un Cool section. :)

Jeremey is actually a very smart man, it's amazing how many people think that he'd be just like he is on TopGear if you met him personally, he's controversial but he's not like he portrays himself on TopGear. If he's geniune good company or not I wouldn't know, but he's done hell of a lot of interesting things in his career and a lot of that would make for interesting conversational groundwork. Has anyone ever seen him interviewed?

I'm sticking with Clarkson, just to try to get his bank information.

Guardian
Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has admitted he was wrong to brand the scandal of lost CDs containing the personal data of millions of Britons a "storm in a teacup" after falling victim to an internet scam.

The outspoken star printed his bank details in a newspaper to try and make the point that his money would be safe and that the spectre of identity theft was a sham.

He also gave instructions on how to find his address on the electoral roll and details about the car he drives.

However, in a rare moment of humility Clarkson has now revealed the stunt backfired and his details were used to set up a £500 direct debit payable from his account to the British Diabetic Association.

The charity is one of many organisations that do not need a signature to set up a direct debit.

Clarkson, 47, writing in his column in the Sunday Times, decried the furore last year after CDs disappeared containing the banking details of 7 million families.

The loss led to fears of mass identity theft with people's bank accounts open to internet scams.

At the time he wrote: "I have never known such a palaver about nothing. The fact is we happily hand over cheques to all sorts of unsavoury people all day long without a moment's thought. We have nothing to fear."

However, yesterday he told readers he had opened his bank statement to find a direct debit had been set up in his name and £500 taken out of his account.

"The bank cannot find out who did this because of the Data Protection Act and they cannot stop it from happening again," he said. "I was wrong and I have been punished for my mistake."

He added: "Contrary to what I said at the time, we must go after the idiots who lost the discs and stick cocktail sticks in their eyes until they beg for mercy."

Yay money!

I saw him when he was in that doco about researching his ancestors. He was looking for the founders and the blood line of the Kilner Jar people. Anyway, in that he was playing Jeremy Clarkson, and to be honest, he wasn't that different from in Top Gear. He was as OVER THE TOP as he is in TG, because it wasn't that kind of show, but he was essentially the same character...

I saw that show and didn't think that was the case at all. Yes, there were brash moments, but did you see his documentary on Brunel, or the WW2 attack on the U-boat harbour?

No, I haven't seen those ones at all, sorry.

Hamster, without even thinking. He seems most like a person I'd be hanging out with, out of those three.
The Stig might be the best choice though... he wouldn't argue about anything :dopey:

The Hamster, Clarkson is an arrogant annoying idiot, and James May seems a little queer at times. Then I could also tease the Hamster about is teeth and height (I'm 6ft 2in)

All of them, for the whole weekend. UKGTP9 - can it be done?

On a more serious note the Hamster is closer to my age group, and I believe has similar interests outside of his work so it would have to be him. Clarkson is a bit OTT and some of his jokes are getting a bit old, whilst Captain Slow can be too square at times - not that I'd try to avoid either of them, but I doubt I'd manage to hold a conversation for very long with either.
