Who´s the best GT4 driver?

its very simple... i jus selected 10 names from many boards i know, juts to make a quick poll to see what other BC drivers and supporters think about...

I KNOW I LEFT SOME BIG NAMES OUT OF THE LIST, but it was the best 10 i could remember...

lets use our spare time in this board to vote on things like that... i´m really curious about the results, and i know many others are too...

i know they haven´t race each other in the same race, but here it goes, lets discuss BC guys... 👍

Very hard question to answer.

Hugo is a good alround driver, both in competitions and in live meetings. Jmr is the only guy I know who can match him, but he's not driving GT4 as much (both guys don't need a lot of track time to be fast though). Momo similar, not too much GT4 I think, but he can be fast. But according to himself, he is getting too old. Hugo and jmr are still very young.

Overall, I think Hugo is a good choice as he can be fast with a lot of different cars. Then again, when it comes to setups, he may be a slight bit weaker still.

The French have some awesome drivers too. I tend to rank P@ss very highly, and Tannis too. I agree with P@ss comments to a large extent, but I'm trying to look at overal speed.

And Neo also seems a great promise.

All in all though I don't know all drivers as well as I do Hugo, and everywhere I've seen Hugo put in an effort, he does very, very well. I think some drivers can probably beat him in the really fast cars though.

The only way you could decide the best of the bunch above would be to make them all run the exact same tests or combo's ( for example :10 events and all have to run them ) and find the most consistent overall .... also there is a few other drivers who aren't in the list and should be

And I dont think we have seen enough from the majority of these drivers in GT4 to decide .... unlike in GT3 they had a full spreadsheet of acheivments .... GT4 is just too new to decide.

Give it another 3 years and we will know for sure

Anyhow fastest driver eh?? now that could be debated! but id go with MrP idea... make them race like 10 races.. points system the lot
Hopefully in GT5 there is online racing.. and we could actually do it LIVE, put them on a grid and race!!!
Coz i believe that racing under pressure brings out the best in the drivers.. and from that we get to see who is the best of the best 👍

GT4 world championship... you qualify for that, and then, similar to a BC, everybody is aginst everybody...

we have to make this someday...

People have to distinguish of people who can be fast after playing 24hrs a day or people who are just fast. If you go to people who are just fast the list is still small.

is my list. I know lots of drivers and have driven against them on different LAN Events. I think with LAN you'll see who is good or not. This OLR stuff makes sense if everyone putts in the same effort.

Nice line up of racers , it's difficult to say who is the best in GT4, there are some factors to guess who's the best if you bear in mind that there are different surfaces, different drive trains, different settings, different tracks and so on, anyway by the list you provided I've picked Hugo, as Jean said, true LAN racing is a lot different than classic OLR.
IMO, there are 3 players in the list that are Mr. nobody in front of another well known players.

You can't simply decide who's the best GT4 player. Surely not by voting.

The best drivers are those who finish up front in LAN races. Racing is not about producing only 1 fast lap after 10 hours of trying, but more about consistency and being able to overtake and adjust your driving lines.

Therefore JMR & Itto Ogami should be in the list. They are the guys to beat in LAN races I participated in. Also Kart.no.38 is missing, the race times he can produce in OLR's are simply amazing.

About the new GT4 guys that are listed, hard to tell how they perform in LAN's. Can't really judge them on their speed.

Although this voting means nothing to me, seeing your name mentioned by other great drivers does feel good Thanks all!

If the LAN races consist of combos never raced, than the driver with the best adaptability will be the best driver. If the combo has been raced before, then it might as well be like our current OLRs where we could spend hours and hours to come up with 1 fast lap, except here you'll have spent time practicing the particular combo for the LAN. To me a fast driver is someone who can get very close to the limit of a car/track combo with a short amount of time or little effort. But there is a factor that plays on this also... how many hours have been spent on GT4 in general by each driver? How much experience does each driver have? But in the end it doesn't matter if a driver drove twice as much as another to become as good, they will be equally fast in the end. So maybe there is no such thing as a "best GT4 driver". I have cast a vote based on personal experience from the past, but now I feel I was mistaken to do so.

Hard question to know?

Make a 6 round world championship, with rally, nurburgring, city course, road course, license and original course. The driver who most wins, is surely the best.

But from seeing laptimes or one or two race results, its impossible to know. Just puting them all to race togheter in a couple of rounds, will answer your question. And, don´t forget to put it on arcade mode races, so everyone will race on equal form.
