It's a nice idea :)

Problem is... Who are you going to invite, and who not? Who is just fast enough to participate, and who isn't?
You should let everybody pick his own combo and let all drive it. That would give everybody a decent chance to prove himself. But it's still subjective, just solo-driving.. Not LAN racing against human drivers.

But for others it might be interesting what times are going to be produced, so you have my vote 👍

yes, maybe some kind of a qualify... don´t know... very hard to get all the big names togheter, but seems like Mr P is doing a good job on 6 of the best... lots of guys that never raced togheter are there... it will be interesting...

Not schummy, but ferrari. Is he winning or being competitive now, when his car is not that good?

strange eh, when he just wins when his car is the best on the grid?

I'm not sure you appreciate what a driver brings to a team. One of the reasons that Ferrari has had good cars for so long, in my opinion, is that Schumacher has brought a lot of knowhow to the team about how a car should behave, what aspect of the car needs improvement most, and he has given great feedback on many such issues, imho. He has also had great influence on getting a good pit-team, he has been very good at developing racing strategies, and so on. It's not just the driving, it's how good a team player is, how well he can get the best from his team, inspire them, and so on. It's not all about Schumacher, of course, but the part I think many underestimate is how much Schumacher was Ferrari, and vice versa.

I've never been a big fan of anyone. I think I'm far to vain and conceited to be a fan of anyone else. :D I just do my best to recognise people's qualities. 👍 But that is very off-topic, so I'll let it rest. There are probably enough threads out there on this subject. I suggest moving there if you care to disagree :sly:

But to bring it back to the topic a little bit, you can ask jmr what qualities Ramon and JB bring to a team like GTN, and how valuable they are. 👍

I was thinking more like 20 or 30 drivers, chosen by OLR drivers with 4 races. 1 slower car arcade, 1 slower car GT mode, 1 faster car arcade and 1 faster car GT mode.

I would call that an "OLR Tarmac Invitational".

You could run Rally the same way and have a "OLR Rally Invitational" also.

Just thinking about the complexities that would arise is already making my head spin. I'll shut up now and go back to work.
