I would like to keep this as "hater free" as I can. Just a simple question to see who else drinks Guinness and what kind do you like.
Guinness Draught is personally my favorite beer when I can afford it.
This is a pic I found online of the Guinness Draught that I drink. Yummmmmy!:dopey: :dopey:
I have tried the Guinness Stout and its a little strong for me. I stick with the Draught.

Oh yes, big fan here.

Of course we do have the advantage of 'real' draught on tap here in the UK, and even that falls under the shadow of draught on tap in Ireland.

👍

I don't drink much, never have, but Guinness draught used to be my main drink. I used to have maybe a pint or two every week at uni. I've never been a fan of lager or weak beers, so Guinness was probably the only option for me. I don't drunk it much now though. I've never tried the other kinds of Guinness though.

I'm not really a fan, but my father drinks Guinness mixed with double cream! :yuck:

I'll drink it every now and again, but rarely. Only if I'm getting bored of John Smith's or Tetley's, which are my mainstays.

I don't like to drink by habit, but I love a decent pint of Guinness.

I used to run a pub, and the first pint off after the lines were cleaned had a lovely smokey quality to it that I loved. The only other time I tasted Guinness that good was in Dublin. Every pint there was wonderful.

But I'm just as likely to drink strong lager, English Ale, Cider, Gin and Tonic, Whisky and ginger, St Emillion, St Estephe, Chablis, Cognac, Armagnac, Port, Sherry (yes, really), Cointreau, Drambuie, Baileys

Whatever takes my fancy, really.

Remember kids, it's quality, not quantity that counts...

Guiness draught is one of the nicest bevereges one can partake of.

I'll usually have a few to start off if it's available - nice aftertaste.

after having an informal class on how to drink guiness a few weeks ago I would like to start drinking it but haven't yet. I prefer Yuengling right now.

Guinness is one of my favorite tipples actually. I tend not to drink to much in the summer months though as its not as refreshing as a Pint of Larger or a couple of Gin and Tonic's in the pub's garden.

It's pretty tasty stuff and i'll always have a few on St. Patrick's Day, but it is a bit like drinking a pint of brown bread.

I have to confess to enjoying a Guinness every now and then.... :D I usually drink Guinness Extra Cold, but don't like the stuff out of a bottle. Draught-flow cans are good, though... but nothing is better than proper Dublin Guinness...

Left: Outside the Guinness brewery with some friends, faces blurred to protect the innocent... left is my mate Stefan and to the right of me is my friend Vickie, who between them can drink a staggering amount of Guinness. The other two, including my Irish mate on the extreme right, are tee-total!

Right: A night out in Dublin. Left hand - a 'baby Guinness', ingredients unknown  Right hand - a 'pseudo'-Guinness... actually another 'Porter', in some pub in Temple Bar, Dublin (Stefan looking on, jealously)

WOw a lot of Guinness drinkiers in here. We are usually few and far between but I am glad to see so many on this site drinking it. Here is the best way I found to enjoy it right out of the bottle.
I take one bottle at a time and set it in the freezer for exactly 25 minutes. At exactly 25 minutes in my freezer, the top neck of the bottle is nice and slushy. The colder it is the better it tastes. Every freezer is different so it could take more or less time for someone else. Its great right out of a cold fridge too. I usually pick up a 6 pack of Guinness draught on fridays to celebrate the long work week. Yummmmy.  👍

I do like one now and then. St Paddys day usually means alot for me as they are free in most bars around me!

FREEE GUINNESS!!??? They would definetly have to carry me away on a stretcher by the end of the night. I would black out so bad.

Well... Not quite. Most of the pubs will give you a stamp for two free pints. We then go from pub to pub, collecting our free pints in each.

haha ^^ nice tactics. No free guiness for me im afraid, but i do love the stuff. Nice and creamy 👍 After a night on guiness though i never feel too good in the morning...

Free Guinness shounds like a good deal, might have to invade DQuaN's place next year when it comes round

I might try the freezer thing, CAMAROBOY69, sounds good.

Its starting to sound like an AA meeting in here.
"Hello everyone.. My name is Adam(CAMAROBOY69) and I am an alcoholic"

I love Guinness. It is truly best from the tap, althoughg I am sure it is even better in Dublin. My brother is actually on vacation there now.

A local bar has a few mixed beer drinks involving Guinness such as the eclipse (Guinness and Blue Moon), Black & Tan (Guinness and Bass), and about three or four others. They are very good and when the bartender does it right the Guinness floats on top causing a nice visual effect, especially if you are a few in.

i love Guinness but only on tap, the bottles and cans are ok but i prefer draft guinness.

i also like black & tan, half guinness and half yingling or bass 👍

a tiny bit off topic but it would seem that when people get drunk they all pull the same expressions

here we have Touring Mars looking a little worse for wear

and here we have myself just over 4 years ago pulling the same kinda expression after one to many drinks

What's that Chris is drinking? A shot of Guinness with a Guinness chaser?

And Ben? Radioactive death coloured beer?

Keep those pics coming!

I believe the 'Baby Guinness' I was drinking is a shot of Kahlua topped off with Baileys  (not that I remember much about what it tasted like :p )

I have a nice story about a pint of Guinness I got once... A few friends and myself went to a bar in Edinburgh and ordered a pint each. I got the Guinness but everyone else got lager. Unfortunately, mine tasted strongly of detergent, so obviously I took it back. The barman had a quick taste, and apologised. He rinsed out the pipes to the Guinness tap and served me another pint... but, I could still taste the detergent. So, apologising again, he rinsed the pipes several more times (my mates have all but finished their pints of lager by now...) After a few minutes, the barman pours me another pint, and even lets it settle before topping it off (like all good pints of Guinness). Unfortunately, before he gave it to me, he decided to have a wee taste himself - the only problem was, he had a big bushy moustache, and left a rather disgusting imprint of his tash in the head of my pint. Totally oblivious to this fact, he handed it over to me saying, "There ye are, it's fine now...."
