I don't mind it because its just a GT thing with jazz music, but hey I also dont have an issue with the Marvel vs Capcom 2 music.

i turn off music in race too, but really like the jazzy tunes in gtlife, fits perfectly to me and it changes from other racing games where it's usually "dance machine", wich gives me an headache quickly..

thank you sir 👍

Now i can drive my real car and listening to GT5 music :p
that's when reality imitates the virtual world... the loop is now closed, we have a perfect world

I actually dont know how to turn off in race music, :D So im so used to hearing music while driving, even though in all past gt games i turn race bgm off.

I find the main menu music so relaxing, I just leave gt5 gt life main menu music, that piano jazz just smoothes me, i leave it running for 10 mins before i start my GT life :D:D

I was in my real car (2010 Camaro SS) a couple weeks ago on Sunday morning following 2 Corvette Z06's and a Mercedes SLS AMG and Planetary (Go!) Came on my MP3 player! LOL I was like what timing!

most of the music is alright and suits the game well, gives it a classy and sophisticated feel. But that one song I cannot stand, sound like some old retro urban pop song with those damn kids doing the chorus. I cannot stand that song and wonder why they even bother having it in the game at all.

You'd better not click the video I posted 5 post above you

I like the MCR intro song, not the pianos though. It just sounds like load of toddlers have been sat in front of a piano in places, and wish I could just see the 2nd part.

Also, sometimes when Planetary (Go!) comes on, I get annoyed because I can't hear it, but then this really annoying song comes on and I get annoyed because I can't hear the engine!

The planetary go (MCR) music flows with the intro, which is good.

Loving the Jazzing vibe. :)

One song that that the name escapes me, almost sounds like something JDilla would make.

So who else actually takes the time to just not do anything and let a track finish? heh

I thought the same thing, I heard that "dilla" beat and could totally envision a verse by Common over top:tup:

I also constantly find myself disappointed when I hit a button too fast (out of anxious habit) and the song doesn't continue to the next screen etc... haha...

I like 90 percent of the jazz. Some of it is "bad" jazz, the saxophone in the dealership is unbearable, and there are some questionable uses of FM keyboards. Also the used car music loop is way too short and gets old really fast, no matter how much I love slap bass.

They need to allow us to use the awesome bossanova in the sub-menus. But because I can't stand the short music loop, "the entertainer", and the cocky saxophonist (aren't they all, though?) I regrettably have to have the music off and just stream DJ sets off my computer through the speakers.

I agree with most of this. I enjoyed The Entertainer initially, but it's getting a bit old now. The Tuning Shop song fooled me; the opening sounded like it could have been a Marcus Miller track (namely, "Run for Cover") - some good funk. Everything else is pretty good, in the menus at least, covering a nice range of sub-genres, but I hate how the dealerships and other sub-menus have fixed music. I enabled all of the other music for menus, too, except the "rock" and dance stuff...

The menu music makes me feel like I'm in an exclusive racing lounge in Europe or Japan, a classy place where you take off your hat and speak politely, and take the time to listen to the band. Like many of you, I let it play sometimes between races because it's so good, and often after a long session, I'll let the game idle for half an hour or more and let the music fill the living room like a scented candle.

Race music, off. I killed half the racing/replay tracks, and would like to replace just about every one of them if I could. This has to be the worst GT5 playlist ever. Prologue's was better. I'd like to be able to add original music of mine, but I don't have enough. Maybe if I ripped the tunes from the best of Gran Turismo's games, that would be the ticket. Hmm...

...the default race selection is shockingly bad. I have most of the music from previous GTs, so I'm now seriously tempted to duplicate that on my PS3 and use it for replays!

I turned it off, it was too random for me; from techno to swanky elevator music But I've been debating on turning the in game music on while I B-Spec.

WOW, same expression here...

I do love the GT's Music, looking forward to the OST 👍

A big hug.

Eager Snake.

Can't remember. But probably GT too yeah. Can't remember me ever actually liking amy GT's music at all... I LOVE Need for Speeds music though (Hot Pursuit 2, Underground, Underground 2, Most Wanted, Carbon and ProStreet).

Not a big jazz fan, but I added the music from the race to the menu too so that way I have good tunes while driving and at the menu.

Already bought Planetary (Go!)-by My Chemical Romance off iTunes.

I love especially during a day/night transition, the music will go to sweet jazz to something more rock-ish, gives a real sense of just letting all that energy go.

The race music has gone down in quality from GT3 and GT4, so I switch that off. The menu music is awesome, though.

Racing music is meh, that's why I'm using my playlist chock full of Lil Wayne, Biggie, some Red Hot Chili Peppers...

Not exactly racing music, but it does keep me company during an enduro.

Honestly, the first thing I did upon starting the game was importing my custom music. The next day I turned all of the in-game rock music into the menu music.

Are you saying you're listening to race music in the menu's? How did you do that?

You can view the music library and add / remove the included songs to the three built-in "playlists" - race, menus and slideshow.
There are some songs in the library (i.e. the ones from GT5:P) which aren't on any playlist, for example.

Oh I knew about the library, but didn't know you could add songs to other playlists! I'll check it out, thanks!
