I am not. I am not making this as a reason to hate them, but I'd rather race through the exact lines, and make professional looking race, rather than drifting. I am talking about gt3 of course.
Drifting is good, but I find it's harder to do a good drift lap in GT3 than a good grip lap. Also it doesn't give me the same satisfaction as a nice fast lap. Mind you when I drift in GT3 I like to drift the same lines as I would grip (or as near as possible) not any of this crazy, no where near the apex stuff i've seen. It looks impressive but if I see a corner it has to be apexed, no matter which way I drive.
Drifting isn't about being faster than gripping. I love drifting, in the game and real life. I used to slide around all kinds of corners on the way to pick up groceries, and when I'm racing in GT2&3, I do it when I know I can win. But when the competition is even, I grip around the whole race.
GT3 drifting to too unreal, I don't like it. I rether draw, or look at pictures of a car drifting. I try to see if I can a car to make faster lap times.

gt3 drifting is unreal? it's pretty close to real life physics, probably as close as you can get at this point in a game. i drift in real life, so i can tell you from experience that it is almost the exact same depending on the tires you use. oh and you won't get the feeling of the car sliding or the adrenaline rush that comes with it in real life, but oh well, gt3 works for me on days that i don't have gas.
for all those who think driftin is slow. just ask me cause im up for the challenge. lets see what you got to prove against driftin. only gripping is not going to get you anywhere. it is the combination of both. i can show you the reall way to drift and grip.
if you want to see chose the RX-7 run it on grand valley. Than I will pick the same car and run it also than well will compare our times.
I can't drift at all. But I do like the felling, when I'm close to loose control and the car starts sliding just a little.
Does that make me a potential drifter?
I drift and use racing lines. I believe in learning all areas of driving and pushing every envelope there is. If you learn to use both, you can learn to put your car on the edge and love it. On the other hand, nothing feels better than racing your friend in his track-tuned car and beating him in your drift car.
