HMV says dispatched within 24 hours for the premium, hope they don't mess the order up now. Since my Dad just canceled the HMV order.

There seem to be loads of core systems but no premiums, hopefully in the next week or so some will be being dispatched around my local area, been wating for ages now.

TVR do you have a local gamestation near you cuase if you have, do you know when they are going to be dispached there?

Been looking at your artwork not long ago, some quite good drawing there m8.

I just bid on and won an xbox 360 premium on ebay. $500 isnt bad I thought, for the convenience of not having to wait and having it shipped directly to your door, Im getting awfully sick of my xbox freezing and just had it this morning and jumped on ebay.

Well as you may have read the 360 is (was?) going to be my 3rd attempt at an XBOX...just can't find a good steering wheel (apparently spoiled by Logitech...although I thought their "Nascar" wheel for the XBOX was a HUGE dissappointment).

Gamestop currently tells me I'm far enough down their reserve list that I probably won't see one until the end of February. I'm seriouly considering cancelling my reserve...I mean the PS3 will be out be fore too long...looks like strike 3 for MS and Bill from somebody who was fed up with Sony and PD and looking for something better...I guess there just isn't anything better out there?

Best Buy is supposed to be getting weekly shipments on Sundays, starting next week. If you call at 10:30 - 11 am and see if they have them, you may be able to snag one (can't put one on hold, however). Make sure that they check in back or in stock, because the shipments don't go through the warehouse, so they won't show up in the computer; rather, they are shipped directly from Microsoft.

You lot know I already have my 360, after buying it from Argos on 3rd Jan 06. Sorry if I did not tell you lot in this topic, said it in the other topics.

I'm waiting on purpose! (there is always something wrong with the first models that come out). It's best to wait atleast a year(price drop, plus they usually get all the kinks out by then, much like a new car).

I'm thinking about selling all my PS2 games and the console, to afford the XB360+PGR3.

Is it worth it? I mean, is PGR3 long enough to spend so much money on, and is the XB360 ready to play online as you buy it?

IMO I don't think it is worth trading in all your PS2 stuff. I still occationaly play on my PS2.

And you can't play online straight out of the box. You can go into the Marketplace and download stuff ect, but you need to buy the XBL Gold to play against other people.

I think that I'll wait a year or so 'til the prices drop. Then I'll definatly get it.

*McLaren*
Still waiting as none of the stores can get Premiums in stock.
What happened to the one you sent to MS to fix? Or was that you?

I returned it to the store because nothing was fixed. The black out problem occured still after they had my console for 2 weeks.

The store gave me back my $400 in full, and I notified them of the problem. They reported it would be tested and sent back in.

I agree, not worth trading in everything you already own, I did that with my Dreamcast for Xbox and Ive been regretting it ever since. I am thankful for my higher paying job now and I dont have to go through that again, but I am trading/selling a select few games that I will not miss ;)

Correct me if Im wrong, but I believe XBL Silver allows you to play on live but only on the weekends for free.

I only keep my PS2 next to my 360, until i get my PS3. At the moment I am saving up for a HiDef TV, may have to leave me buying a DSLR to later this year.

So I have the right funds to buy a PS3, HiDef TV, Extra parts for my PC and Festive of Speed 06 tickets.

Well, I think I have a 360 coming! As it's Friday the 13th I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Seriously, I'm not superstitious but I can't help thinking something will screw up.
I actually found a Premium Package which included PGR3, PD0 and a wireless controller for £405 (postage included) from PC World. Now I've only ordered once from them and had no problem and they do seem to have got things moving. Today I got my parcel number and the DHL tracking site link. Unfortunately there's no info on my parcel number yet though it is the first day.
Well, I'll only believe the things going to turn up once I get some firm information.....I hope!:nervous:

PS. Just a quick addendum! My order has arrived at the DHL depot in Canterbury at 1:05 this morning! It's on its way! Hurrah!:

Gave up on MS today and got my 360 deposit back from Gamestop. No wheel anyway. MS has had so many chances to steal me away from Sony and PD but just aren't capable of getting the job done.

Maybe after I've worn out a PS3 and GT5 I'll give MS another shot?

So have you got it now or not slackbladder.

Not yet. I only paid for the basic delivery (5-7 days...I know I'm cheap! :sly: ) I'm expecting it Tuesday or Wednesday at the earliest.
I guess I'll try out Live for the first time too. Do you get a free month on Gold Live anymore or should I just get the 12 months for £40?

Got to say, looking forward to seeing this on my 46" DLP in either 720p or 1080i. Oh the choices the choices!:dopey:

Good news: Microsoft is starting production of the 360 in a third plant at the end of the month. The majority of the new systems will be going to the US and Europe, as the Japanese couldnt give two boots and a tin can about the 360...

So, maybe by the end of Febuary you might be able to get one... Maybe...

Every shop that I talk to about the 360 always mention Easter as the expected date of new stock. So a late March date would be accurate then. Still, I wonder what the 360's sales will be for January?

I'm going to wait till they bring out the new 360's with the HD technology...sure it won't be til December, but I think I can't wait a year.

Yep, PGR3 and PD0. I only paid £4.50 'coz I thought paying £400 was enough! I got a DVD Recorder/HDD player on the way too. My credit card's taken a hammering! :scared:

You did hear that the HD-DVD drive was going to be an external drive, right? Peter Moore said it would cost too much money to change the design of the box on the inside, so they are going to go with something similar to the Sega 32X expansion on the Genesis.

...Funny, thing happened, ha ha... Sony's Blu-Ray DVD capability they rant about may be too expensive for the PS3... The first Blu-Ray DVD player from Pioneer is supposed to tip the scales at $1800. Compare that to the first of the HD-DVD players due in the spring to go for $400-500...

I'm still mad that I have to decide if I want to spend my gift cards on a 360 a few weeks from now or just get a DS like I want...

But the specs of that $1800 are far more advnced than the $500 HD DVD player which deos'nt support 1080p. Samsung have a Blu-Ray player for around $1000 and Blu-Ray drives for PC's should be under $500.
I could'nt say how much the Blu-Ray drive costs for the PS3 (some say $150).
Sony are being coy about the price though and should make the price known soon.

Sony said Blu-Ray could be the same price of DVD for customers, or even cheaper.

Anyway. I had some good news today. It's arrived! And earlier than I thought. Would you believe it!
I'm currently in the proccess of setting it up (having to make some adjustments to what's under my tv as I have a DVD/HDD Recorder coming too).
Yet to actually play anything yet. But I hope by tonight everything will be ready!
