other are old landrovers or the "unimog" - an offroadtruck dirctly built after worldwar II having up to sixteen gears!!!

The nicest old car is the 66/67 fastback Dogde Charger. Much prettier than the later, bulkier Chargers.

One of my all time favorite cars is the Figoni et Falaschi bodied 1936 Delahaye 135M Cabriolet.

To me, there are no cars that more perfectly capture the art of automotive design than the Figoni et Falaschi "teardrop" cars of the 30's.

I'll second that. I like almost every muscle car from the 70's.
And I'll second that. I like almost all Japanese and American cars from late 60's to 70's.

Don't get me started......:D

Here's my baby:

I saw a Plum Crazy 1970 Challenger Convertible yesterday.

But Not nearly as Good as the '56 Oldsmobile I saw at the "Kowtown Kustom Greasearama" today.

Well, Bob, this thread has been up for almost a month, and it has ten replies, so I guess the answer to your two questions are "Not many of us", and "Almost nobody"...

Sorry...

Well, I do. It's just sort of a directionless thread. Yeah, some of us like old cars, so what?

Hey, look what I've got sitting on my image shack:

And, uh, this. Is old. I guess:

Maybe that should go in the mangacar thread :D

I guess I missed this:
I grew up in a house where my dad at one time or another had:
a 1962 Ford Thunderbird, (became my first car)
a 1955 Chevy coupe,
a 1953 Chevy work Truck.
a 1978 VW micro bus,
a 1966 Mustang notchback,
1964 Falcon (with a 260 cid V-8),
And a variety of lesser Falcons, Fairlanes, and even an old Mercedes 280 sedan,
also 3 1969-1970 Austin America's (1 ran, the others supplied parts.)

1902-999right.jpg

1902 Ford 999. Freaking scary looking.
It's apperently a circle track racer. It's sister car (the 'arrow', which I can't find any pictures of, but is apperently identical) set a land speed record at 91 MPH.
Google turns up some more images, but not much more info.

ahh back in the day when men were men and cars were metal :dopey: lovin the old school! especially shaved, slammed and chopped :D heres some of my favs relatively stock

[jealousy] My Dad only had a 1600GT - half the engine, a quarter of the charisma [/jealousy] :(

28 posts and not a single mention for the Lamborghini Miura, or the Aston Martin DB5? I should ban you all.
