My copy took less then 48 hours from Play Asia to FL USA, although I paid an extra $19.95 for fast delivery.
 
Just as I am saying to myself this morning "I actually hope GT5P does NOT arrive today," my doorbell rings and the game is here. AAHH!! I'm on deadline at the newspaper for the next 2 days. I will have NO time to play. These will be the longest 2 days ever....

Mine's arriving tomorrow to my house. The thing is, I'm gonna have to spend another 65 euros for custom duties and the DHL fee to add to the 54 euros I paid Renchi!

It's going to be a very expensive prologue but I'm 100% sure I wont regret it (as I'm almost sure I'll be getting the European version too once it's available!!!)

This is strange, because I ordered my copy on Renchi.com and it was aloso shipped via DHL and I didn't give an Euro to the Delivery man when he brougth it to me 3 hours ago.

Don't think I will have to. I think the UK has gotten really lax with personal import charges. When DVD's were new on the scene I used to buy them all from the states, and used to have to pay the postman 17.5% tax and 3.8% duty, on every delivery... after a while though it became less stringent and I hardly ever have to these days.

Renchi does offer to mark down the value of the item for import purposes, (i.e tax on $0.00 is $0.00), but they do point out that in most cases that equates to tax evasion and advises not to do it.

The worst thing is when customs decide to open and inspect the goods, thats when 4 day delivery times become months, and sometimes never (they can confiscate stuff that isn't/hasn't yet been certified for UK release).
 
Well, I may have to call DHL again about this

apparently, the only other option I had was to go to customs myself and clear the parcel...
I got a text message on friday stating that DHL would clear it for a fee of 30 euros and really had to opt for this as there was no way I could go there myself!

In a word, no.

It'll take more than a day to be flown over, taken to the depot, processed, picked up then delivered to your door. I'd say Weds is possible but Thursday is more likely.
 
For UK members, Ebay has several listings with one company having them in stock in the UK now ready for next day delivery. I now have the game but no PS3. Bah.

Well seeing as ive used standard delivery it says 6 to 12 days for delivery which could take it up to the 30th of dec to be delivered, but im sure it wont. I cant wait, i hope I get some nifty stickers too.

Ohh yes im defiantly hoping, ive read on hear it took them 8 hours to get it from Hong Kong to the UK, so in theory it could be delivered by the end of the week. all crossable parts crossed.
 
Broke down and gave me a Christmas/Birthday Gift... hopefully fed ex will get it here.. they said 1-4 days so I'm expecting Saturday at the very, very earliest maybe Monday or Wednesday, or maybe Friday at the latest. See ya guys!! - Randy
 
woo hooo got my copy today! I wish I would have waited. I went ahead and bought it online also this weekend for $62 bucks... I just couldnt wait! OH WELL! :D
 
XXXXXXhas been shipped out from our Hong Kong warehouse on 17 Dec, 2007. Since your order applied "Express Air" shipping method, it usually takes 2-3 business days to deliver the package. Yes Finally :D All I care is that it better arrive before Saturday. Me very Excite now :D
 
I think I won't due to not having a PS3. Though I might if I some how manage to get a PS3 before European version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is out but it seems highly unrealistic as I don't know when I might get the console. I am 50% sure that I have a PS3 in 2009 or earlier :rolleyes:

glad i've already paid for it though (something like $87Aus) cause the XR8 just went into the mechanics today.

Just signed for mine, via DHL from Renchi, no import charges.... 6 hours 15 minutes until I finish work! Man this afternoon is going to drag!
 
Ordered mind from Renchi also was dispatched last Wednesday and i got it that Friday ... 2 days from Japan isn't bad
 
i just got mine from ACME in the netherlands via dhl. i live in germany. but i have to wait to get my hands on it till christmas - that´s when i get my ps3.
