I haven't posted in a while. I just thought I would get it all out of the way at once. :D

I DONT USE THE WHEEL I'VE TRYED LIKE 3 TIMES TO SWITCH FROM A STANDARD DUAL-SHOCK CONTROLLER OVER TO A WHEEL AND I CAN'T PULL OFF GOOD LONG ~SMOOTH~ DRIFTS

^Is your caps binded on or somthing?, Anyway, I have a Mad Catz Mini wheel, $30 and its made for some of the best drifts ive ever pulled off, more control over the whole cars range of performance then anything you could buy, a steering whell ...

c'mon I know more of you use the wheel. I have just started practicing with the wheel, and it is a little hard to get used to, but I can see it will be worth it in the long run.:D
Oh btw, I am using the Logitech GT Force and I recomend it to anyone. (driving force wheel SUCKS!!!);)

I use the force feed back wheel from logitec and I think that it acclimates to some of the best drifts that I've ever done in the game because of the lifelike response, I just couldn't picture drifting with the dualshock 2.

(First post)
I use MadCatz MC2 professional gamers edition -wheel, it's propably the best wheel I've ever used and it doesn't have force feedback, just because I don't like it in video game. It's slightly modified too :D

i personally use the Logitech force feedback wheel for PC's :P it works great! i don't know why they had two name for the same product on both PS2 and PC

i use the MC2 also but i can't seem to get my car to remain sideways it's pissing me off i tried like everything how do u guys do it i read those guide things they don't really help that much

Hasn't this question been asked before?

The logitech driving force wheel is what I use. I learned drifting with the wheel so using the dual shock controller to drift isn't efficeint for me. However I'm learning to use the dual shock now too, its still no competition to using a wheel. Don't give up on the wheel, its more rewarding and in my case, I can always drift further using the wheel.

I'm using the MOMO Force wheel which I think was primarily meant to be used with PCs. It does work perfectly with my PS2 and GT3, however.

What I'd like know is which steering assist type you guys use when you drift? I'm using the simulation mode but I somehow get the feeling that the front wheels don't turn quite as much as they do, for example, with professional mode. I did try using professional mode but found that the steering is not linear and the front wheels suddenly "bite" a lot more when turning close to the steering locks.

Professional is more sensitive and allows for quick response. IMO its the best choice. Simulation mode tends to react slower and doesn't allow you to turn as much, I think maybe, "maybe" it doesn't compensate for the lack of 900 degrees and thus you get the impression of a simulated wheel. Proffessional allows u to turn full and reacts faster than amatuer and beginner.

I agree, I find professional to be the best all-around. Simulation seems to vary between different types of races (ie, Arcade, Race, Qualifying, 2-player, etc.). Maybe it's just me though...
