That race couldn't happen, anyway, seeing how the best damn racecar driver died 10 years ago.

I didn't vote for the Accord, I was pointing out you couldn't have that race, because the best driver's not alive today.

Weird, I coulda sworn that accord had 150HP *shrug* Very interesting question though. If the C43 AMG guy had ANY idea whatsoever how to negotiate a racing line, I believe he would win. If not, then I think it would go to Schumacher in the Accord. I am abstaining from voting though...

Edit - After careful consideration, I have decided that you do have enough driving prowess to own Michael Schumacher if you were driving your Merc that you want oh so much and he was driving the Accord.

Are you telling me that in one of those five laps, the C43 couldn't have one better lap than the Accord in its 12 laps?

I thought Mercedes built quality was piss after I owned an ML430 for a year and had to replace almost every mechanical part - but I got the CLK55 seven months ago and it's been flawless in every single regard. Not one problem and it's been better in every area than I ever thought it could be. It's moving down to Tennessee for another year of use.

Either way - are you telling me Senna with that damn Accord would beat me? How!?

The DX's 4-cylinder had 135bhp, the LX and EX's 4-cylinders had 150bhp.

Okay, so we've got one vote for the Accord by a sentimental PunkRock and another by a drunk ****ing hick.

This hypothetical person won a Mercedes autocross a few months ago with a CLK competing against E55s, C36s, SLK32s, and other "performance" Mercedes.

I just put it in - look at all those straightaways for the C43 to gain speed! The Accord is limited by its trashy 4-cylinder engine! Senna would get his tail whipped!

I don't know. I'm in Tennessee now, it's probably not really far. I've driven to Atlanta and back before to see a Braves game. But I'm scared to drive through rural South Carolina. :nervous:

And you all know what, that accord is not just a stock 1. It has VTEC in it. :dopey:

And ya, get Jeremy Clarkson in the Merc. He'll do one of his stupid manuorvers and spin like hell, then say: "wo ho ho ho!!!" This car is amazing!!"

By that time, the accord is way ahead. 👍


Oh, ok, I'm back to reality. The Merc will just blow the accord in the straights no matter who's behind the wheel of the accord.
