I understand the theory behind this, but the weight difference between th ecars is too small, and the power difference too large. This is one case where driver skill won't tip the scales (unless the MB driver hits the tire wall, of course :D).

This is a stupid comparison,

Why would you compared a AMG-spec C-Class to the lowest trim of the Accord, thats pathetic!!!

Why not compare your stupid C43 to a 2004 TL or 2003 TL Type-S.

You really hate Honda's huh?!!

I got a better plan, why not the 2004 Accord coupe V6 compared to the C230 or C320 Sport coupe. Now thats a fair fight.

I voted for the Honda. The driver will make that much of a difference, particularly when the driver of the Mercedes supposedly only done a couple of Autocrosses.

Besides, the AMG will break apart before the and of the first lap anyway.

Proof? Watch the 2004 F1 season and how McLaren-Mercedes stacked up against the BAR-
Honda.

That doesn't mean anything, that certainily wasn't the case in the 2003 season.

Um, read post 20. Duh?

Nope. I really like most of them.

The AMG would definitely win. Hell, even if the driver of the AMG didn't know how to handle corners at all, he'd still probably win. On the main straight and the back straight, the AMG would pull away like the Accord was standing still. It wouldn't even be a race. I don't care how good the driver is, that course just isn't technical enough for it to make enough of a difference.

What the point of that??!!! You got that from another message board?

If you could elect a stupidest post of all time, this would win the primary, get the nomination and the second, and win the election without campaigning. Did you read any of this thread? Or do you have any deductive skills at all?

Freaking hell. Just freaking hell.

Why would a Merc fall apart and a Honda not?

Again, plain stupid talking again.

MB's reliability/quality control has gone down the ****ter, fast.

Ha ha, you're planning on mocking on me huh?

You think even thou you're a new member, you expect me to say "welcome to GTP"? Ha ha.

Look who talking about himself.
Of course I read the whole stupid what you a "thread" that you created. :yuck:

I think comparing the Accord DX to a MBZ C43 AMG is the most idotic thing I've ever seen, shame, shame. :indiff:

No! This isn't happening! We're not to the 47th post with you still not coming close to comprehending the purpose of this thread! Read post 20 again. Then read it again, then again, then again, then again, until you finally have some ability to comprehend it. Also note that someone named MistaX posted in this very thread. Then re-read the first post ten or eleven times. WORD FOR WORD, and read for comprehension.

If it were my choice, only 30 people of my choosing would be allowed on GTPlanet.

Why? Even way before the #20 post, this thread is already going nowhere, pointless, pointless crap. I do read post 20, whats the sense of it?

30 people huh? Yeah right, I do believe that if you're a moderator that you will abuse your power of authority to delete each and every one of the post that I created, even outside Cars and General and GT4 forum. And if that doesn't satisfy you you'll just ban me easily. 👎

Well, as long as we're making completely irrelevant speculations:

If I were king of the world, I'd make everyone dress in the same clothes. All the time. And I'd demand to be surrounded by tapirs, my favourite animal. Maybe the clothes of the world would be tapir-related, like a t-shirt with a tapir on it and some jeans. And I'd drive what I drive now, because that's what I like, but I'd also get a complimentary "president of the world-mobile" which would look like a Grand Caravan but have 900bhp. Everything would look better than it does now. Everything. The Rockies would win the NL West, then the World Series on two back-to-back home runs on successive pitches by Kit Pellow and Luis A. Gonzalez. Aaron Miles and Matt Holliday would share Rookie of the Year, Jason Jennings would win Cy Young, Vinny Castilla would win MVP, and they'd have to create a special pinch-hitting award to give to Mark Sweeney because he'd hit a home run in every pinch-hit at-bat. They would create a driving PS2 game which mapped the entire United States in minute detail - from coast to coast. Rap music would be completely eliminated, as would be AIDS and Driftster.

Hmm, that would be cool.

Anyway - you still don't understand the point of this thread, so my first act as king of the world is to ban you from it.

^Such pity, is that the ONLY thing that you can do? Such "powers" you have.

The Vanishing Boy: this is how this thread came into being:

Look at post 20. DouglasDeMuro = M5Power. They are the same person. MistaX308 = MistaX, obviously.

Post 20 was the conversation that was had between them. Doug, that's M5Power, made this thread as a result of that conversation.

Understand?

Oh, and in a comparison of lap times, the Merc would win.

I'm going to do a poll within a poll.

How many of you who believe the Accord being driven by a pro race car driver would have no chance in hell of beating the C43 being driven by average Joe with no track experience has actually driven at a track event? Show of hands please. Of those people who said yes, how many of you have driven at Lime Rock?

M

I've seen FTOD at an autocross event set by a Mercedes turbo diesel wagon...

Hmmm..............but lets go off topic a little.

A friend of mine said that a Accord is more comfy than the current C-Class. As a passenger that is.

More space he said. And the Merc's seat is too hard.

TsLeng
And the Merc's seat is too hard.

Of course it is, those damn Germans can't make comfortable seats....ive been in a Mercedes, a couple BMW's, and a few Audi's...seats in every one were like rocks 👎:grumpy:

^But when these seats get old, they tend to sink you. Trust me I've driven a lot of mid-80's MBZ's and their spring tend to soften over time. :guilty:

They used to be pretty bad in the 80s, but have gotten much better in the last decade or so. The sport seats in my '04 330i are quite comfortable, and both my M3s had great seats except in the lower back area (no lumbar support). The seats in my parent's '01 E320 are not too bad either.

Nobody - and I mean nobody - makes worse seats than the ones in a Ford from about 1990-2000.

True, all the german cars I've driven/rode in have been from the mid-90's...
