What region are you in? Australia? The reason I ask is so I know for one in the future and two because Australia seems to get neglected by PD in various ways.

No, mate. ID Asia, Euro disc.

I'm not sure what region Australia fits in, but better make sure both ID and BD are matching region before pressing that "Buy now" button.

I personally haven't had the thought of checking it as I bought many add-ons before and never had a problem.

I see, I'm in North America so it's usually more fair than some other regions, which overall isn't fair and I can see why you'd have anger toward PD.

It's not a matter of fairness in this case though. You could have bought Euro Disc on your trip to UK "because it just came out and you really want to have it NAU" say, and have this kind of stupid situation in US of A today. Only matter of poor management IMO.

Oh don't get me wrong I agree with you actually. I've always thought that the little special gifts for each seperate region was stupid and it should be the same all around. This also for me extends to what game you buy and using it no matter what region you live in.

No need to justify your words, I get what you're saying. I don't really care about what the States get or not, I'd even go far as say that as a market it is deserved as it is the biggest market to begin with anyway.

I love the game and enjoy it often whenever I am able to but this now just pops my valves off and I am not even that temperamental.

The situation is just obviously beyond my limited comprehension level to understand.

As far as I'm concerned.., I showed my support for the developers when I dropped $60.00 on the game itself. Not to mention my support in also owning previous GT titles.., and even buying it for my PSP.
This, especially when you consider how rubbish GTPSP is (what, no career mode?)

Employees

Polyphony Digital = 140+
Electronic Arts = 8000+ (Yes I know they make several games at once)
Codemasters = 800+

And yet GT5 has better graphics and way better physics.
To be honest, if true, all this means is that PD ought to enploy more people.

Gran Turismo used to be the primary reason why people bought PS consoles and therefore no expense should be spared to make it the absolute best. (I bought my PS2 then more or less mothballed it until the next GT was released).

Can we still say this? Well, for me, yes, but I'm something of a diehard...

Wooooh, enjoy all you ragequitters and whinebags, you make my day! Keep it up!

Cheers!

(still buyin' the next DLC, and prolly the next after that.)

I love all the cars but i find it too expensive
As said by someone if you think that paying a dollar for a car is worth it den dont you think gt5 worth more a 1000$?

I don't get why I should be disappointed with this game, someone please explain? Yea, I sound like a fanboy, sorry I can't help it that I love this game so much, whenever I buy a new game within 1 day, I'm back on GT5. Is it because you guys don't have a full racing rig setup? because I can understand it would be pretty boring using a controller all the time.

I'm completey open so tell me what your disappointed with and I'll respond, and don't say 'because there's 800 standard cars, honestly I don't care about interior view, all I care about the way the car feels to drive.

As stated in this thread and elsewhere, its a matter of opinion.

The game has some good qualities, and I played it for several months.
I still go back and fire it up from time to time.

However, the game was still incomplete and sub-standard for a GT game.
That being the case, and in light of the other circumstances already mentioned,
I am left with a sense of betrayal on PD's part that will not change anytime soon.

The particulars of the shortcomings, have been discussed in the threads here over and over for a year,
so I'm not going to list them all again.

Ironically, your comment on a wheel setup, helps make the case that the game isn't that good.

A great game isn't boring, no matter what controller is being used.

So with about 1000 cars in the game and figuring that most people paid $60 for the GT5, that's puts each car being worth 6 cents. That means this DLC should only cost 24 cents. Somebody get the Federal Trade Commission on the phone and tell them we're getting ripped off.

I'm not saying that we should pay 24 cents for the dlc maybe 2$?u get my point dont you?

I for one have loved everything PD has done from gt one to present and will be buying every bit of doc they put out. Personally I could care less about new paints and racing uniforms but I bought them anyway just to support the cause. Here's to many more dlc`s in the future!

This is a ridiculous analogy. Everything you buy in bulk in the real world is cheaper, usually much cheaper when you get into large quantities. An even more ridiculous way to look at that's just as valid as your argument is, PD whipped up 1000 cars and then copied them each digitally 5,000,000 times. Each copy likely cost less than $1. So the duplication cost of each the 1000 cars was in the neighbourhood of $0.001 or 1/10 of one cent. Using your same logic therefore the cost to PD of the DLC should be less than half a cent. Maybe if they retailed it for a nickle and made a 1000% profit everyone would be happy, but I'll bet dollars to donuts there would be just as many people saying, "Why are they charging a nickel, why isn't it just free, that's so stupid...blah blah blah"

As with anything else, if you don't like it don't buy it, no one is forcing you to. And it's $4...the value of the lint that falls out of my pocket everyday is higher than that...come on...

PD could do better, but if there's more Kart Space tracks or anything like it in the new DLC then i'm buying. and i REALLY hope there is.

Easily buying the DLC.
I've been waiting for the VW and can't wait to try it out.
If anything, that car makes the whole car pack worth it for me

This is also ridiculous. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course. Some people think the government is run by aliens and pigs can fly. Some opinions are worth more than others.

The game is substandard compared to what? Hundreds of cars, dozens of tracks, online play, incomparable graphics, endless tuning options. No the game isn't perfect, nothing is perfect, but to say it's substandard is a joke. If someone likes Forza maybe they think it's just as good but GT5 is state of the art for console racing. The next version will be better and so will the one after that.

I'll get it, haven't bought the first DLC either so I'll get that as well. I'm not too impressed with the last DLC, was hoping for a bit more or simply some "entirely" new stuff.

I'm also looking forward to the update.

I dont think I'll be getting it. Not that I dont want to support PD. The cars in this batch simply do not appeal to me.

They get 👍👍 from me for the next update though.

Not getting my money on this one...not that I don't support PD as they have gotten my money every time a new GT came out, but I don'y see any reason to pay for things I have no interest in. If it would have been larger and even cost more I would but not for this.

Reading people's comments in the news section on GTPlanet I've seen a huge negative response to what this DLC contains, personally I can't wait to get my hands on those cars, I think people underestimate those two Volkswagen R's, they are 4WD, 188KW/255HP! Once tuned they will be awesome! and yes, I know it's another Nissan GT-R, but this one is 3.0sec to 100kmh! It will most certainly be a new top car for the people who like to drag.

So please support PD, buy the DLC! and please if you don't like GT5 anymore or never have stop bothering the real fans, cause it almost feels embassassing for us to see you bagging it so much on a dedicated GRAN TURISMO FORUM! The place for the fans, not haters.

I will definitely buy it - can't pass up the Sirccardo! (sp?)

I thought they were FWD though? Or is the R model AWD? Also can't sit for the update - rims on STANDARDS!!!

Apparently, you never played a previous GT game, particularly GT4, otherwise you wouldn't have to ask that question.

With the exception of overall graphics, and arguably better physics, it is substandard to other GT installments, especially GT4.

I hope you are right, in that the next game will be better.
Particularly in all the categories that were, substandard.
