I switched from Mozilla to Firefox.

The bad thing about Firefox for me is the smaller buttons and no 'new tab' button.

you can get it. Just go to view>toolbars>customize and add your button. 👍

When I tried to download it I was getting 3kb/s on my 512k connection (mind you this was like, minutes after its release). Anyway, if you checked over at Neowin, they have an abundance of mirrors set up. I used the torrent myself. 👍

Anyway, there's nothing new really in the new release except it has "Final" tagged on the end. I guess I can get round to slipstreaming it into an unattended XP install now, as we won't be seeing any many major updates in a while.

After 1.0 we plan to resync our development work with the Mozilla trunk so that we can immediately pick up the great work that's been going on with Gecko since we've been away, continue our HIG compliance efforts for MacOS X, improve existing systems and plan for the next major release. The first interim release will be 1.1 in or around March 2005.
