This is exactly my point all along. Doesn't xbox live charge monthly fees or am I wrong on that? I bought a Sony e-reader partly because they offered free 3g network with the product. No initial fees or anything of the sort. I like Sony for a reason and for better or for worse I'm a GT fan.

2. Different how? They are car races. No matter what criteria they set, it's still racing cars in GT5. You can use One Make Races and Arcade Mode to form any kind of race you'd like. Don't wait around for them to guess what you want. This game is a tool box full of tools. Build your own races. I spend a lot of time in One Make Races and they are actually very fun, especially now that you can knock your power down as needed to even out the competition.

Disappointment upon disappointment - it is obvious now that they totally messed up in development and could only get half the game ready, so now they are slowly handing out what should have been A spec races, only now they call them "seasonal challenges" and pretend they are something special.

This is rubbish. GT5 is barely even half a game. As of today, seeing the half-hearted attempt of PD with these new "challenges", I have put my copy of GT5 up for sale, and will buy a game that is actually finished.

PD, you suck worse than any games developer I ever heard of. You are worse than a bunch of thieves.

Now I know it's not just me. I can't say exactly what it is about that track that makes me dislike it so much. I just find it so tedious and boring to race on.

Complete opposite i love this track ,im actually looking forward to the 9hr enduro when i open it up,unlike the Suzuka enduro i did last night ,god i'd rather have a root canal than race Suzuka again

If someone were to do the math.

If you did all 5 events it ends up being about 400K+ in terms of cash and about 80K+ experience.

Granted it takes a bit longer. But these are a measly 5 laps, or 2 laps for Cape Ring. I say bring a few more, with different tracks and a different series of cars.

Hell.. even Tsukuba in reverse would have been a fresh change. But after the roadster endurance, doing 238 odd laps on it, that boring travesty of a track causes my brain to melt. There was no reason to use it *again*.

I enjoyed this round, and was very happy (and challenged ) to see the reverse Tokyo, although a bit sad as well as the earthquake had just happened when I did it.

I am fine with the extra content PD is providing, its keeping me happy and that's all that matters to me

To all those with the irrational hate against PD...which other game developer gives away free updates and content nearly every week? Sure, they're not enough to fully tide me over from having to grind Indy for the cash and cars I want, but it shows meaningful initiative towards extending the lifespan of the game.

And sure, you could say that these events SHOULD HAVE been in the original release...but then again, who are you to say that?

The last 3 updates make me wish they didn't hand those updates out. Besides, most of those updates "fix" "problems" with the game that shouldn't have been there to begin with.

Who am I to say that? A guy who spent $60 bucks of what little money I currently have to play this game that's who.

It's not a big enough deal for me to give up on the series, but I hate grinding and have completed every single race other than the longer endurance ones.
200,000cr worth of races every other week is no where near enough to play this game the way I want.


The overall design and gameplay are fantastic IMO, but there is so little to do, and such a small amount of money and experience for each of the few events that I just can't find a reason to play anymore.
I've already lapped the Nurburgring in pretty much every one of my cars, both tuned and stock, and I've had my fair share of online racing, but without the money to buy more cars, I just can't enjoy the game.

I do enjoy having new races to do, even if they are rehashed versions of crap we have already done, but i am still disappointed. I Enjoy having legit reasons to get new cars, and new races to do, but come on, give me something ACTUALLY new. And i enjoy it when We have more than one series to do. 2-5 laps on 5 tracks i have been on a million times gets boring. What would make me happy is to see a challenge series and bonus series once a week. The challenge series hopefully being more creative than the current ones. And i actually do like the bonus races. Not only do i find them more challenging than the challenge races, but they have required me to buy cars i often otherwise wouldnt have even thought about. And the huge XP payout is a huge help unlocking new endurance races, while the huge credit payout allows me to buy several new cars as a treat to myself.

BRING BACK THE BONUS RACES! AND BRING ON MORE CREATIVE CHALLENGE RACES!!

on topic, yes I wish PD would mix things up a bit and use different tracks, as others had said the reverse tracks are under used, Autumn ring isn't used a lot in Aspec, neither is Indy RC, or Nurbs GP and GP/D. I was happy to see Eiger Nordwand in the FFs and would like to see it more often.

I'd like to see some races with the SGT300 class cars, and some seasonal rally events too.

Also I was surprised they did an 80's Japanese series as there's FAR more 90's Japanese cars and the existing Aspec races for that reward VERY low.

Oh and have tighter restrictions (but a bit of leeway for the less skilled, just not as much leeway as now), and GRID starts for the love of god and not starting last every time.

I think you are referring to Special Events. That category is the one to offer different experiences. Seasonal's are a mechanic to get people XP'd and Cr'd up.

Not doubting you exactly, but I've never seen anything that shows PD claiming that the Seasonal events are supposed to be different from A-Spec.

That said... I wouldn't be opposed to some rally events showing up.
