why can i not send

i've spent ages trawling Q&A but to no avail. i was gifting helmets graffiti one's when i get to one that cant be gifted ended up 4 out of the 34 couldn't be sent. why is this.

no i mean the gift icon is shaded and if says cannot be gifted,also i thought gear was pretty much unlimited as i have filled a friends inbox twice in one session

That particular gear must have come as part of the DLC #1 Gear package. They cannot be gifted, nor can any other gear that came with the DLC.

In the beginning, and it might still be possible, people were winning the new DLC Gear from Seasonals and PD took down the prizes for a few days and then put them back up. I cannot say that I have won a DLC style gear since then, but I have definitely received complete 34-piece sets of the newer styles from friends, that were introduced with Spec 2.0 and the DLC, since then. So, they must not all be tied to the DLC, considering that you only get a set number of each with the DLC pack.

I have complete sets of Flame suits and Untamed helmets, for instance, that I got from a friend. 👍

Yes , I had thought I had the full flame set but got the last 2 as DLC

I can only share my experience with this particular gear. For example, I have all 34 Flame suits, some can be gifted, but some cannot. I did buy the DLC Gear pack and the ones that I cannot trade were a part of it. When I received the complete set from a friend, I gifted the ones that could be gifted to another account and kept the ungiftable ones of the same number, on my main account.

I'm not sure how you got the ones that you cannot trade, but if it is telling you that a particular item cannot be gifted, it's somehow tied to the DLC. It is also possible that after PD realized that the new DLC content was being won as prizes for Seasonals, they made all of them ungiftable? I haven't checked lately.

Yes, but Small Jaw is not a new style that was added with Spec 2.0 and the DLC. When they added the new styles of helmets and suits (Safari Helmets and Graffiti Suits, for example) they also increased the number of colors for all helmets and suits styles to 34 of each, from 30.

The additional items numbered 31 through 34 that were added to the original helmet and suit styles are definitely winnable and giftable. 👍
