Why can't I enter a driver's name instead of randomizing?

To me, it is kind-of annoying to randomize an AI driver's name rather than having the option to enter one yourself. Can I just create the driver and then hack it by changing the name or something?

LOL, I understand the opinions. But I figured for gamers who would take GT5 seriously and input names like J.Gordon, D.Earnhardt, or even A.Newey - it's best to just enter it instead of pressing X a billion times just to randomize into them. Then again, even the names of GT and NASCAR drivers can sometimes be copyrighted in some way. Who knows.

For my 5th driver, I was hitting randomize waiting for an interesting name,, and out of nowhere,, MY EXACT NAME!

And really it's not a common surname at all, did this happen to anyone else?


I also found D.Hopper... And of course I chose for him the angriest personality I could possibly find! 💡
