PD would do anything but update the damn sounds...
That is to be expected when PD doesn't address essential issues, but instead spends time on adding features that are 'nice-to-have' at most. But it's good to see that you never fail to seize an opportunity to complain about it.

Nope, track modeling team should have worked on getting in new and improving existing tracks (for GT6 or a future GT7). Not model the sky. Not hard to understand, is it?So you think the track modelling team should have spent 5 minutes working on the sounds. That should really do the trick, why didn't they think of that?
Let's be honest here. There's people who will find anything to complain about. If the stars were less exaggerated people would complain that it's not exaggerated enough and vice versa. These people are known as pessimists.
Look I'm just looking for people to call pessimists ok. Stop following me around you stalker!Pessimists are optimists with life experience.Or in that case with PD experience.

You got your answer eran. That is to be expected when PD doesn't address essential issues, but instead spends time on adding features that are 'nice-to-have' at most.

Not that old saw...I've been around for quite some time, lived in lots of different situations, including a short time of being homeless; yet I remain optimistic in general.Pessimists are optimists with life experience.Or in that case with PD experience.
I think there are quite a few people who like pretty much all of those feature. The first has revealed a few here in this thread....Now, Eran, stop talking about time and start thinking abour MONEY. Instead of investing in
-stars mapping (how many people actually care?)
-GPS (how many people actually care?)
-3D (how many people actually care?)
-course creator (how many people actually care?)
-triple monitor support (how many people actually care?)
-head tracking (a big fail)
It's not all about the elite members (a few hundreds maximum) of forums like GTPlanet.I think there are quite a few people who like pretty much all of those feature. The first has revealed a few here in this thread.
The second, there was quite a bit of discussion about GPS in relation to the course creator.
Some have used 3D and loved the level of experience it brought them. That was probably a Sony requirement anyway, what with them being heavily involved in the 3D TV thing.
Course creator is very popular.
I hear a lot of triple-monitor question for many driving games...
Head tracking like 3D has its fans too, even other games thought it was a good enough idea to implement and a number of folks liked it there.
Probably not, but they'll only play the game occasionally or for a while until the next game comes along. The cool features are for the people who stay with the games, after all, we have had to put up with certain physics modifications to suit the casuals, so why shouldn't we get some fun stuff in return? It's not all about the elite members (a few hundreds maximum) of forums like GTPlanet.
That's why I said that the majority of players (based on the millions Gran Turismo copies sold) care about something else than what you just mentioned.
Which are not necessairly 3D, triple monitor support and GPS, just taking a look at the comments section of articles right here on GTPlanet.Probably not, but they'll only play the game occasionally or for a while until the next game comes along. You got your answer eran.
ExactlyI may have criticised it's authenticity but as I already said, implementing this would not have taken long at all. It's a simple, flat skybox that rotates at the correct speed and angle.
You seem to forget the costs of all the other features that we mentioned and that only a few care about.Yes, let's have tracks with no sky. That's going to look great.
I'm not asking for answers, I'm providing them
But you still don't seem to get it:
- Accurate star skybox = easy, quick, low cost, require a 3D artist and some NASA footage
- Making a new track = hard, time consuming, high cost, require 3D artists and lots and lots of reference data
- Making new sounds = not even done at the same department
-200 people with 3D tv's
-30 people with triple monitors
-1 with a GAZOO Racing 86/BRZ Race car + $900 USD Sports Drive Logger + access to Fuji Speedway International, Tsukuba Circuit 2000, and Suzuka’s International Circuit.
If it's not 30 it's 31...Could you provide a link which proves only thirty people have triple monitors on GTP. I certainly got the impression from here and other forums that a lot of people want and expect this.
But still nothing compared to the number of players who asked for things likeI think there are quite a few people who like pretty much all of those feature. The first has revealed a few here in this thread.

I do believe that new sounds are being worked on (okay, might or might not be ready for GT6) but better MP is due with one of the updates....But still nothing compared to the number of players who asked for things like
-new sounds
-better multiplayer
-realistic collisions
-advanced customization and tuning
over the years
I read the news about the sound patch and I was very, VERY excited about it....but now I lost faith. Kazunori talked about it before the release of GT6 (before December 6), today it's April 6. Still nothing.I do believe that new sounds are being worked on (okay, might or might not be ready for GT6) but better MP is due with one of the updates.
As for collisions and broader customisation options - that would be up to PD. People can want other stuff all they like, but if Kazunori-san doesn't want it, then it isn't likely to happen.
Right on!!!!I would say SO MANY PEOPLE CARE and we can't wait to have them!!

Multiplayer really needs to be reorganized, it's really a mess. They will never get something easy and fast to use like Forza's MP.
How can Kazunori be so perfectionist in terms of physics, reproduce them in the game...and leave collisions out?
He himself stated he got involved in an car crash (he was driving a skyline).
