That depends on a lot of things. If yall both have fast internet there should be no problem. We have two people on our team that are from different countries.
One from Canada no problem. Another is a SGT in Afghanistan again no problem.

No, internet determines tree lag. Since you nor he live as distant as I do, nor do you know how it is for Australians, please don't think you know how it works for us, you don't.
I just join US rooms because I have no fun in European rooms. I tend to stay away from Australian rooms, as I often get kicked out due to apparently making the whole room lag.

Irony: When the GTP drag racing populace rally against another user proclaiming "troll", but have no problems keeping ties with one particularly dense returning banned member, who feels the need to rejoin a site he proclaimed he was done with, just to harass (and therefore, troll) said target member.
