Why do we still not have the Honda HSV SuperGT cars?

I searched for this and find threads and articles from 2010, 2011 where Kaz says they're working on the HSV but still no mention of it. Should we look to GT6 for this one? This is one that I've been patiently waiting for.

It's most likely finished by now and like the Scirocco, will probably be added later via an update as DLC.

If that's true, I hope we get all 5 of them. Making 5 liveries isn't that difficult, right? Though there is the issue of coming to a licensing agreement with the teams; the three semi-private teams (Nakajima, Real, ARTA) might have more control over the video game rights to their cars.

Please Please Please let them get the car sound right on this one. Ahh who am I kidding? I'd still buy it even if they just imported the sounds from the current SuperGT cars. :(

I need this car............. My fav car of all time ever. I would be happy with the matte black version even.

Lets hope........................ :)

Maybe it's being held onto for a future update. Months ago Kaz hinted at updating Suzuka to it's current state. Would be the opportune time to throw in more Super GT cars.

I'd assume they would be modelling 2011/2012 Super GT cars and having them as DLC along with the HSV-010, in similar vein to how we got the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup cars with the 2.00 update.

I'm leaning towards GT6 for this one. Remember, PD is carefully picking which cars go for DLC, and which will be saved for GT6. They will NOT release everything for GT5 DLC, just because they already have it modeled. Plus it's not like Kaz said that the HSV will be in GT5, same way as goes the Camaro from last year's Sema (2010). Of course, that also means it has a chance of it being a DLC for GT5.

But hey, on the bright side, we can be sure we'll be driving it at some point right? We just don't know when.

That would mean we'd get them for free! Honestly though, I'm not really feeling this one. I think the Nascars were free because they were all basically the same model. JGTCs on the other hand have Toyota, Nissan, Lexus, Honda, etc. to model and they're very much different to each other.

Thank you.

Honda Weider HSV-010 has been neglected for far too long.

What we really need is a Super GT pack. There is so much to put in from the series now (mainly GT300 though) that it would be more than worth it. And I would not listen to the boundaries of complaints that would come from it.

Spot on.

I would not be surprised if the next DLC or possibly the one following it (depending if there is one in February) will be the one with an updated SUPER GT lineup and a re-vamped Suzuka to coincide with the beginning of the 2012 SUPER GT season.

PD is one of the major sponsor of Super GT (you can see PD/GT logo if you ever visited Super GT's website) so they should have the rights to use the liveries of all teams competing in the Championship.

What do you mean by re-vamped Suzuka? The version in GT5 is already quite up to date- you can see the change in the main grandstand and the Pit lane Building. The only thing missing is the paved run-off replacing the sand trap in some section. But I think PD is reluctant to do paved run-offs because gamers (and a few sim-racers) have a tendency to abuse them.

Because it takes time to get new cars, and because gt5 was late, and as the HSV010 was made in 2010, it would have been impossible to create cars in such a short time. They probably will be in a dlc update.

No no no!!! No don't say that! You where doing so well!!! Yes please get the sounds right this time!!

Is it a matter of creating the cars, or simply withholding stuff for GT6?

As Spa tells you. Seriously though, it's not the way they're abused but the penalty system on them...they come on at the stupidest moments as self-claimed 'shortcuts' even though they're just going wide really.

What Suzuka really needs is a change time section. The longest races there go into night time and that can go very easily together with the change weather part. The 1000km race was great for me with a level-rate car to the AI and would have been awesome with the change time too.

Okay so there goes that theory, we're getting the Aventador which is an '11 model.

this is number one on my wishlist, the HSV-010GT, if the sound was accurate as well i wouldn't drive anything else

PD's shown a few times that they have access to cars well before the public (GTR Prototype and '07, WRX STI, FT-86 concepts and the new road car, etc etc), so it's not far fetched to think the HSV should be modelled by now.

Actually, considering we've already seen the NSX concept in-game, it really makes you wonder.

Gt6 content ? i mean they cant release all the cars they have and or model in GT5 or else GT6 wont have much more new content , i remember that in the original motor storm, the Developers had a Development log, and in the background were DLC cars and cars that latter came in the second installment.
PD might just be doing the same thing picking DLC cars from a pile of already completed cars. Think about how many cars were being modeled when gt5 launched considering kaz wanted 2 more years , i say there's around 100 or so new cars ? i mean not all the cars we saw in gt5 footage were actually in the game for example the racing mini .

The last thing Honda would do is hand over a brand spanking new car to PD for modeling. In an ultra competitive series like the super gt, manufacturers tend to be very secretive.

i'd really like to see the new honda super gt cars before anythingelse/or the current list of dlc cars which "IMO" is nothing of interest then whats in the game already.

can't forget about the new lexus lfa's super gts, those things are sweet looking.

i was really hoping for some super gt cars in the first DLC, nothing. now a few more packs being released and still no dang new super gts, wtf PD?

Lexus hasn't (and will not in 2012 at least) run the LFA in Super GT. The LFA is what everyone wants to see, but Lexus is sticking with the out-of-production SC430. :indiff:

Last word about it was the sc430 was on the way out this year due to it being discontinued , here's to hoping the LFA takes over.

As we only have 3 premium race series in this game, NASCAR, Carting And SuperGT.

NASCAR got their update
Carting got their update
SuperGT nothing.

It's about time now. They could give us Twin Ring Motegi at the same time, then both the NASCAR guys and the SuperGT guys get a new track ;)

But I would rather pay to fix their online bug, because playing this game offline against AI from newbie planet, is just plain boring and before that happen, I wouldn't pay for any new cars/tracks.

they'd be stupid not to,

basically we got the new year nascars, so why can't we get all the new year super gts? would be nice to have:tup:

You could also argue it's about time to feature another series in GT5.

I would like to see some of the new Hondas (and a concept LFA GT500 would be amazing as well), but I'd also like to see PD focus on some other series such as DTM, WTCC, V8 Supercars, FIA GT etc.
