Why Does Player 2 Not have Nos?

When changing the button configuration to be more efficient for when I drive on manual, I lose my nos on player 2's controller. Is there any thing I can do to fix this other than erasing my file and starting again?

We've been through this before, without too much of a conclusion. Some say it isn't possible no matter what.

there is an answer...check the setting in OPTION menu and set NOS to P1 and P2. this only works if the cars are equiped with NOS

So I have Figured out how to get player 2 Nos, at least in the american version of the game: you have nos available to both players when you start the game, all that needs to be done is player 2 must keep the default controller settings. Do not change player 2 controlls and you will have Nos.
