Why does the TVR Griffith 500 suck at handling?

Apparently, you can't drive it.

When in the hands of a skilled (or even semi-skilled) driver it is a joy to drive. Easy to oversteer, and plenty of grunt for launcing out of the sharp corners.

I've used it in nearly stock form to ravage the competition in the Pro Spider & Roadster challenge.

It's very torquey. It likes to steer with its back end. When you set it up, start with the rear at a lower ride height than the front, and back off on the LSD settings, try 10/30/10 to start and work from there.
Contrary to popular belief, TSC and ASC are not your mortal enemies. Set the top one to "0", and the bottom one to 2-3. And give the car a try.
You will have to get used to driving with them both off for a lot of comps. But you'll get the hang of it.
This beast can be tamed.

You tell us. What makes you think it sucks? Then we can explain how to correct it.

You're treading on dangerous territory. I wasn't kidding about banning you. Instead of making a thread like this one, why not:
  • Go to the appropriate board.
  • Search and see if anybody has addressed the Griffith's handling before.
  • If they haven't addresed it already, make a new thread saying something like: "My Griffith seems to have a handling problem. It understeers when I brake and it oversteers when I'm exiting a corner. I have a hard time controlling it. Can somebody give me tuning tips or driving suggestions? Thanks."
See? That's an actual post that has content and leads to a meaningful discussion. It took me about 30 seconds to write. And it's not just whoring my way to the top of the poster's list - a dubious honor at best.

I mean it: you are on thin ice.

keep on trying 1146411 (or whatever your number is), you'll come up with a good thread yet...i've got faith in you

With close to 100 useless posts in 2 days I highly doubt that :D (This 2134453241 is called hi-jacking... The mods will yell at you for doing this ! )

Why 11646 anyway? Is that your date of birth? If so, for a 56/57 year old (US... 6th November; UK... 11th June :D), you're a complete muppet.

hey 64611whatsit, ever heard the term a bad workman blames his tools??

It applies here..

oh and since you seem to have a small mental age, I suggest you use the asm and tcs, I hear they work well when they are used at 20 and 10 respectivly.. also known as fully on.

Inte.
