Why don't we see many/any pics of the F1 cars posted on the net ?

I have been trying for a while to win the F1 cars (Pol001 and Pol002). I have only seen 1 of each of the F688s etc on this site but have not seen any other pics of the F1s posted.

Why is this ?

I will hopefully own all the colours soon as I recently got my S license but just wondered why you never see them on the net.

The P002 is similar to the F688/S.

Uh, Nope. P002 looks exactly like F688/S. The colours are identical. And I belive the specs are identical. I'm pretty sure P002 is the same car as F094/S. They look identical with the same paint scheme and colours, except for the different nose shape.

Here are the colours. You will see that the coours are not identical. Some are the same but not all. The polyphony details are work in progress by me. The F688s etc is from a faq prepared by eatbitter here

For example there is a blue P002 but there is not a blue turbo F1 car in the NTSC game.

By 12sec civic - I'm pretty sure P002 is the same car as F094/S.

I assume you mean P001. And I think the P001 is the same as either of the F094 cars.

Hey Gumpy, I noticed that the HP and Torque on both vehicles are the same. What's so special about the F094/S other than the insane sell cost that makes it so unique?

A little help PLEASE!!

I have the following colours (I would need to check the numbers tonight). The blue-white POL001 is the pic posted in this thread. The Red-White is the same pattern but with Red instead of the light blue and white instead of the dark blue. The black-yellow-white (which is also described as dark blue-yellow-white) looks like the old Williams colour scheme and does not match the POL001 from here. The green-yellow-white is the same pattern.

I believe that the black-white is the same as the Blue-White etc. The black that I have raced against looks very unique.

The Pol002 all look like the same basic pattern just with different colours.

Polyphony 001
- Blue-White (Endurance Races)
- Red-White (Endurance Races)
- Black-Yellow-White (Endurance 100%, Dream Car Pro)
- Green-Yellow-White (Dream Car Pro)

Polyphony 002
- Purple (Endurance Races)
- White (Endurance Races)
- Blue (Endurance Races)

There are various rumours.

I am not sure if you know but see below:

F = Formula 1 car
0 = V10
94 = the year 1994
S = Senna

ie the car he died in.

The other codes are where there is a 6 as the second digit is is a V6 turbo engine. The other drivers are H=Hill and M=Mansell.

This may explain the high cost and the difficulty in getting the F094s (rarity).

It is also reported to perform better than the F094h. I obviously can not check (I am on PAL) but I wondered if it was setup differently because Senna was a master tuner.

The programmer may have programmed in a tribute to Senna in this car's ability or we may all be dreaming.

I can't say much more but I have seen these sorts of comments in the threads on "What is the best F1 car". Search for these threads to find out more.

Here is one.

And another

I have played with the F094/S a little. It does seem to perform just slightly better, but its not something to shout about.

If they did it for the tribute, that's cool and I'll learn to live with it.

Thanks!!

Poly 001 is 1 car just in many colours...you could do 1 race and get all the colours.

I am taking my time with the list as it appeared to me that not all colours were available in all places. ie I kept getting the same 2 colour schemes of POL001s in endurance races.

If all the colours are available in all spots then great but I need proof. ie I am not assuming anything. If someone wins another colour somewhere let me know and I will update my list.

The list I have was originally done from the NTSC version by eatbitter. I am adding the PAL cars to it.

So are you saying that the Black Pol 001 is available at endurance races ?

If so I will update my list.

The P002 is similar to the F688/S.

In general people say the POL 001 is similar to a F094s with a high nose. They also say that the POL002 is the same as the F688s. However I would like to mention some differences.

F688s.jpg

688s
F687s.jpg

687s
F686m.jpg

686m

The 002 seems to be made up of the main body of the 688, the thing behind the drivers head is from the 687 and the rear wing is from the F094.

Here are some of the NTSC F1 cars.

For the F094s and h there are 5 colours not shown here. But for the other cars as far as I know they are all there.

F094/H
- (Green/White) shown

- (Black/White)
- (Black)
- (Black/Yellow)
- (Black/Orange)
- (Blue)

F094/S
- (Black) shown

- (Blue/Blue/White)
- (Black/Yellow)
- (Blue/White)
- (Red/White)
- (Green/Yellow)

sorry i got my facts wrong...I got 4 F1 cars from the last race...:D

I think that the Black one was from completing simulation mode.

Gumpy the F090/S has a max HP of 711 not 690. I know not much of a difference but just getting the facts right. :P Nice List gumpy. (Didn't know there was that many colors for some of those cars :embarrassed: )

I think most of these power ratings are low. I didn't write that list myself. I assume they are all before oil change.

This has some photos. Some of them are of the crash. But you may be able to get a good enough view of the car in the pre crash shots.

I will keep looking.

These may not be photos but when I had a close look an compared them to the NTSC F1 models and then the PAL versions I was amazed at the level of detail.

F686/M
F687/S
F688/S
F090/S
F094/H

Although I have inlcuded the 1989 McClaren model I think the 1990 was just an update to the 1989 model so it should be virtually the same.

When I look at the F688/S I can see whh the Polyphony 002 has that strange looking pattern behind the drivers head.

I have just bought an adaptor that will allow me to hook up the PS2 to my digital video camera and then to my PC so I should soon have pics of the polyphony F1 cars and will post them. I still need to win 3 more of the 002s though.

ok, i have a question...

how come the f094/s is worth 800,000 credits but the f094/h is only worth 275,000 credits... they have exactly the same specs, as far as i know....

I assume it is the value of having Ayrton Senna's last car. The value is for sentimental reasons not performance reasons.

the black casino one you get from completing 100%.. and you dont get different colours from the same races meeekael, ive raced the super speedway 100lapper and got the blue one 6 times. dont ask why.

btw, in ur sig, it should go 1234505666.

man that site with the senna crash is really...well....touching.....those pictures of the crash just give you that feeling in your gut....ya know?? just that feeling... :(

I think you get 2 colours from each enduro. I have got the blue from the super speedway but I have also got the red one. The blue has been more often though.

Am I the only person that can see that this car:
senna94-01.jpg

is NOT the same as this car:
poly001.jpg

The Polyphony001/F094S is the 1994 Benetton as driven by Michael Schumacher. And the reason it's so much more expensive than the F094H (Hakkinen) is that the 1994 McLaren was a s***box.
