why has my storyline progress stopped

I have the menu book for "Nissan sports cars" and I cannot get the middle car a '94 GT-R. I have looked for it in the used car lot for many days. Am I missing something?

If you start the menu book (by pressing "start" when in the menu book), a gold compass icon will guide you to the race you need to do to win the car (along with an icon in the top-left of the main map screen). The race will not appear unless you have started that book.

Thanks. I don't know how that happened. I must have gone and bought the other 2 cars and never hit "start".

It happens surprisingly often! One of those things about GT7's design that catches a lot of people out.
