Is this a error, this wasn't in any other GT?

It's new to the game but they probably weren't considering making it a Premium, ie they might not have had enough time to detail it. Though the fact there's only one available ever does say something...

I never knew they added standard cars. Always thought they were just ported over. I'm quite shocked.

Both Countaches and the Bugatti Veyron are new to the series as well and they are both "standard" also. There is no rhyme or reason.

They were both in GT PSP. The Jaguar XFR is the only standard car whose first GT appearance was GT5.

I echo this view :(

The car is quite impressive to look at in real life I'm fairly depressed that it was confined to standard status in Gran Turismo 5 :(

My theory is that Kaz decided, after the game was finalised, that he wanted the XFR. But making it Premium would have pushed the game release back even further, so decided to make it standard,

Don't know why, but in birght orange/red with powder coated black volk rims lowered... it is a sexy as car!

How did you powder coat your wheels?

All i've managed to do is get a bloke with a bunch of leaf blowers to blast each corner of a car with huge gusts of paint. Even so, the results tend to be pretty good! - they must use some good masking techniques. Preparation, as always, is the key i'd imagine ;)

The paint wasn't necessarily 'powder coated black' but the paint sure looks like it! Slightly faded black colour.
