Seriously people... try not to forget what Kaz and his crew went through earlier in the year! You people are so hard on PD and it is Shameful!! Grow up and act like decent human beings! At least for the Holidays!
These people work their asses off for us all year long, then I come to see how everyone is in the Forums and it's all just 🤬 Talk!
Be thankful that you got anything! Stop acting like American Politicians!! "MORE, MORE, MORE!!! GIVE IT TO ME!!!!"
This is a better community than that!
Thank You Kaz, PD and Jordan!
Happy Holidays Everyone!

If you think the exaggerated sense of entitlement these days applies only to GT5, you're missing the big picture. ;)

I don't... I'm 40 years old. I have a real good sense of it all. I'm just hoping this community can rise above. Cheers!

You'll also notice some dudes post the exact same post on other website forums etc. like bots. But thats normal nowadays I guess. I can understand annoyances and people being disappointed but some seem to just keep posting the same stuff every second stifling any discussion for anything. Anyhow the patch is awesome. Also its not like we wont get more patches looking at how things are going :)

But if you buy the game you want stuff that your looking for not useless cars fo real money

It's the vocal minority that makes the rest of us seem like ungrateful sods.

I'm not sure how voicing opinions when not satisfied is a "sense of entitlement" but I guess that's the cliche defense for GT5 since it came out.
I don't "feel entitled" to anything from PD, but that doesn't mean I won't speak my mind when I dislike something they do. 💡

You'd do better for yourself to actually think before you make arguments and use something better then cliche defense lines about how everyone should be thinking of fluffy clouds and happy bright rainbows now matter what, because everything is for free and PD does everything out of the goodness of their hearts..
In short, that kind of talk makes you sound like an immature, naive fanboy.

I'm not disappointed or excited for these updates, I didn't ask for them, so I don't have to be grateful do I?
I would prefer PD get their servers straight like they've been "sometimes" and leave everything the hell be.
New cars and features don't mean squat to me if half my room gets disconnected because GT5 has the most unstable online play I've ever encountered.

Temetias.
+1 to the OP. Most annoying are the 'disapointment threads'. Pisses me off.

Yeah, that gets me fired up too. Obviously just a bunch of kids that have never had to work hard at something. If they did, they would know the feeling when you do bust your ass only to be rejected. A good man doesn't go around knocking everyone else's efforts while he thumbs-ass.

If you bought this game, it provides way more than your money's worth when compared to other games, both in the racing genre and otherwise. And as far as the "useless cars fo real money," DON'T BUY THEM! You won't lose any functionality or playability of the game if you don't.

PD doesn't owe us anything for DLC. The free updates were needed, and they've followed through on those brilliantly for the most part. DLC is a bonus that you're free to enjoy or not.

If you bought a car, and didn't want the sat nav system, would you complain that they shouldn't have offered it? Of course not, that would be ridiculous.

I usually refrain from posting here, but...

Isn't GT5 a product like any other? One that's being purchased by the customers and developed, produced and sold by a company? I mean, I am working my butt off to keep our customers happy. Because that's what I'm getting paid for. Because it's my job.

Did I miss something, or isn't that PD's job and didn't all of us who purchased GT5 express our "gratitude" by paying for it? But, that's just my opinion and probably the only thing I'll ever say about this.

So, good day to you guys.

Its the same story with any online community surrounding any game, they whinge and whine, not always without reason but I feel it hurts the communities a bit especially when you have a great dev like PD.

Some of the guys here probably only play racing games, to those guys I can tell you no other console developer continues to improve their game after release like PD does FOR FREE.

I am really impressed with GT5, its addressed many issues people had with the game on release and the devs have provided many features for us players without turning it all into DLC.

I think the seasonal gift & message says a lot about how the developer actually cares for the game and its players let alone all the updates.

This is the main reason I'm slowly moving away from the GT5 section. You get 3,000 threads about the update, and then another 2,000 complaining about the update. It's so annoying. The folks in the Off-Topic section are so much nicer.

this. We already a few immature replies implying they are mature lol.

I would also like to add here that, while I do feel that the complaining is a little out of line and usually overdone, PD's decision making process, implementation idealogy, and public relations are, well, probably the worst of any software company, ever.

Going to have to agree, both groups can be annoying and both are entitled to their opinion, but some people take it to far. People who are "pro" GT5 bow down to Kaz like a god, don't get me wrong, I have huge respect for the man, but some things him and PD do are questionable, but other s are great(updates, support, etc) while others aren't(unannounced features, weird things added to the game etc). As for pushing it to far, both groups do it, "pro" GT5 people think Kaz does all this out of his heart, when really he does it so we'll continue to play and buy DLC and keep us interested in GT6, if he did this out of the good of his heart, he would have been out of business a ling time ago.. However some stuff he does is nice(free cars, Christmas cards). Then there are the "con" GT5 people, they constantly nit pick at PD and often type the same argument over and over, it's great to have an opinion, but we only need to hear it once.. Complaint threads are annoying yes, but complaining about the complaining(cliche) is just as bad, if anything, it gives the people who constantly complain more ammo, I suggest everyone do like I did, take peoples different opinions in to consideration, I'm not saying you have to agree or disagree with them, but I feel the whole community would be better this way..

Sorry but not true, there's a sea of idiotic devs happy to milk your money, PD is an excellent developer.

If you would please reread, you would see that I said nothing about their ethics or development.

It's their philosophy and PR that need work.

Thats why I don't buy it, it's everyone's own choise if he/she buys it or not, not really an big discussion in my opinion.
I get your last point, but thats more then just a few bucks.

Its such a shame that the dissapointment threads get more posts than the appreciation ones. People are way to ungrateful and most can't even give constructive without getting all childish and whingy about it. The only other rant I have is if you don't like the DLC and think its too expensive then don't buy it!!!

I for one think it is great the number of free updates PD have given GT5, I don't know of any other developer who does the same and I think the DLC is very well priced when you take this into account! :)

Their PR might not be great but I can think of a few games where people were lied to or misled by the devs\publishers (BF3 lately)

As for philosophy, I think that shows in the games a company makes, they didn't want to release GT5 but had to, instead of leaving it in its state they have continued to improve it and try to give back to the community.

They are doing this while working on GT6, I think that and the fact that their previous games continue to make sales shows they put care in their games.

I'm not disputing you but I really think PD are a good developer, especially when compared to other devs, just look at Id Software's attitude to their games and tech :(

I agree with the OP that people should select better their words and be more grateful. Even if we know that GT5 is a game, we paid for it and all, its hard to find a game company that support a game for so much time with the ammount the efforts they're putting into it.

I even see people calling Kaz and PD as idiots, morons and a whole lot of bad words, wich is harsh and not polite. I bet everyone of us had some education for our parents and must know how to talk correctly with people. e.g:

"I didn't liked this new chase camera, it gives me a bit of motion sickness" its a lot different than:

"omg, wtf PD your idiots, dumbasses and morons, better you left GT5 alone, you idiots don't know what you're doing!!!!111!!!"

Saying that to some professionals with 10+ years of experience its not nice. Even if you're a customer, you must know how to express yourself like a person with a minimum of social skills, not a savage baboon like some I've been seeing around.

I bet those who talk like that don't do that in real life, at normal stores, with real people. It's always like this:

You-on-the-internet_You-in-real-life.jpg

What I'm saying is: you have the right to complain and discuss about something you don't like. But do that like a clever people, not like a shouty little boy.

Welcome to the internet. Either learn to ignore things or spend your life pounding keys.

The lack of being personally responsible. The anonymous feeling of the Internet. You will have people saying things they normally wouldn't

Totally agreed with the OP. Seeing disappointment threads for updates is just stupid. Some guys here should learn to be grateful things, especially when they come in free packages.

...fluffy clouds and happy bright rainbows...

lol - I wish there was a paint chip with this theme. Anyone annoyed by GT5 could paint a stock Samba bus with it and take a "chill" lap around the Ring to calm down :)

Agreed. Even without a massive natural disaster and nuclear meltdown. Can any of you think of a racing game on the PS3 that even cones close to GT5? Ofcourse you cant...

I love GT5 and I play it just about everyday. But I'm definitely not going to keep silent and act like everything's lollipops and rainbows if they screw something up, like they did by removing most of the seasonal events in the recent update.

They work for money and because thats the career they went into. As for "this is a better community than that!" How can it be better than what it is? People are just saying what they would change and that helps PD because if no one told them what they like and dislike then people would stop buying.
