Why is the x1 so hated?

I have seen tons of people try to sneak by an X1 in an online race... Not cool... When I have even a Super GT car and most of those in the room do, and then hey... there is an X1 that just pulled a 30 second lap time when I had a 55 second lap time in warm up... yeah... you dont deserve to be in the race.....

The driver not kicking you and ramming you at the end, equally as wrong... BUT you were in an X1... Its a fun car and INTENSE to drive but real... no.... fair.... no.... not against Super GT cars, LMPs.... or anything else.... I dont care how you set it, its a monster racing against gnomes.... its just not fair, you started to win and the other guy got ticked off and pulled a nasty move. He dropped down to your level the same you entering the race with that car.

Online, most people want cars that are fair races against each other and follow the rules of the owner of the race.... Obviously if you have a bunch of GTRs in a race, if you dont want to use a GTR grab an NSX or something... Keep the playing field equal regardless of what the rooms regulations are. Use some common sense...

Again, I will reiterate that the person who rammed you dropped their own (if they had them) standards by ramming you like that... Its just a race. You win some, you loose many.... (for most ~ including me)

I guarantee that at least once 2 guys in Schwimmwagens raced each other. If you can drive it, someone has raced it.

And none of them were sanctioned race events. It's not a race car, the X1. And GT is a racing game. The Titanic was real and has history, but it probably doesn't belong in GT.

This should not even be a problem though. How can you sneak a car into a race it can't even enter. If you host a room with no restrictions, the X1 driver isn't breaking any rules. You shouldn't host a room without restrictions ever unless you don't care what someone will bring, or at the very least you're willing to explain to each person who comes in what's going on.

The x1 is to good aero dynamically, combine that with the fan and it light weight and you have a car that will run everything else including the f1 in the game around the track. Even when you detune the horsepower on the x1 because of it ability to corner it will crush everything else.

Because it's a bunk car that can not and will not ever exist in real life. It also is ridiculously cheap to drive against any other car except another X1. Your either going to be laughed at or punted when driving. Avoid competing in it unless it's X1 only.

track changed to the ssr4 I think (wuith the 2 tunnels), got neck & neck with the leader (the host) in a gtr, both going flat out through the first tunnel & he suddenly shoves me into the wall & then everyone else piles into me!

It was a good, close, clean race up to then, then it all went tits up, because I inched ahead of the host & he didn`t like it.

got a message after the race saying "you know why I rammed you, don`t you?"

So, why, when it`s de-tuned & a close race, is the x1 so hated online?

Its not the car's fault its hated, its the people who used them. The reason the guy probably rammed you is because he thinks you're not being fair to the other races by driving the X1. Its such an over powered car, it can, and will beat everything else in the game. I just ask online if I can use them, and most of the time, the answer is no. People hate it because its not fun if they keep losing, is it? And plus, it makes winning effort less.

Like the Citroen GT from Prologue, a car so awesome it can lap the world's best super cars in only 5 laps of Daytona Oval. Total fantasy concepts shouldn't be in the game at all, unless they had an actual road-going prototype built, in which case it gets those specs.

and it was nothing like what the concept promised, I don't think I've ever seen the Furai actually move under its own power, if it does, use those stats not the concept stats if they differ.

Almost every concept car will start with the concept of having perfect handling, an amazing top speed and a slim weight, the reality is always a trade of between the three.

the car shouldn't be allowed to race unless the room is x1 only or free run. Sure, my buddies and i will race each other in them but thats for ..... and giggles. If we want to race for real we get in real race cars. Every time i see an x1 online its some kid driving the one that pd gave away and i know I'm leaving right then.

Some people are just annoyingly stupid. "ANY CAR RACING! (herp derp - imaginary rule you should already know is that X2010's aren't allowed)". Ether put "No X2010" in the title or actually tell people rather than just ram them for no apparent reason.

Main reason so many people are against them is the notable reputation they have of being used by rammers. I absolutely love the X2010/X2011 and can drive it just fine, but sometimes people cut you off while free driving - forcing you to react fast (and sometimes a bit too much) and end up flying into another guy...who then proceeds to throw a hissy-fit and begs the host to kick you.

Or they just can't drive it and are jealous of your skill .


Ether way - give the driver a shot. He proves himself worthy of driving the thing, he should be able to freely drive it (except for in a race against actual cars). Some people are just agressively against it because they never drove it for more than 2 seconds, have had more bad than good experiences with it, or just stand behind the whole "NO FAKE CARS IN A (so called) RACING SIM!!!" argument (which is a stupid argument).

why should you use x1 while everyone else uses non x1's? you are almost assured a win even if you have low driving skills. So selecting an X1 is using an unfair advantage, even if the room was called any car fun race etc, there is an unwritten unspoken rule that you just don't bust out an X1 or FGT lol.

maybe allow its use in lobby's but make it ineligable for the prize at the end when against non X1's.

i don't like the X1. Firstly its not a real car and never will be. The full scale version is just a model no moving parts from what i could see. There was nothing innotive and new on this car. All the technology has been used somewhere before. Its too fast and makes the game too easy. It is of course up to you if u use it all the time. But unforunately alot of people online can't drive the thing or just like to ram.

I read somewhere in thread about the Mazda Furai and GT by Citroen. The Mazda Furai does move. It was present at Goodwood FoS a few years ago. Unfortunately i wasn't there but there are pics of it going up the hill. The GT by Citroen is also a working concept car. Its fitted with a Mustang V8 and sounds absolutely gorgeus. GT5 should've made there roadcar in game more like the real GT that citroen made. Also theres a stripe on the front which i really like. I added some pics of The X1 model and GT by citroen.

I've got no problem with the X2010 and X2011s in and of themselves, provided the room is full of them. In fact I've got nothing but utmost respect for anyone who can truly drive them cleanly. They've obviously got far better reflexes than I.

My issue is the folks who try to bring one into rooms where they don't belong then whine when you're "hating on them" when you ask them to get something appropriate.

OK, little update on this.

I`ve just hosted a room for the past 2 hours entitled NO X1!!! & not 1 person has entered it.

So, it seems that, if a room outright bans the x1 in the title, no-one wants to play, but when an x1 turns up in a room that doesn`t ban it outright, everyone gets the hump & wants the x1 user kicked, regardless of how it`s being driven.

Is it just me, or is this double standards by thick people?

Or have I got such a bad online rep, that no-one wants to have anything to do with me?

Just done some testing on the x2010 and the the lowest PP rating was 875! So your saying that's fair to enter? True it was a 'Any car' lobby but some common sense could tell that's not really fair.

Let me tell you a story about how bad x1 drivers usually are.A couple weeks ago i was in a drag room racing my Cerbera Speed 12 against mostly Enzos and Veyrons(beating them....badly) so one of the guy on a Veyron gets angry about me beating him so he takes his“tuned”x1 and tells me i must race him or he would kick me(he was the host) so i begrudgingly agreed so we go to the starting line for the drag strip(near the penultimate corner on the TG race track),the clock reaches 00 and we launch halfway to the finish line i realize i cannot see him,i cross the line and about 3 seconds later he crosses the line.After that the host disconnected his mic and left his car parked (probably ran to his mommy about how that mean teen beat his “best car&#8221i raced a couple more cars(i kept winning)so the rest of the room agreed i was better=) so we decided to use other kinds of cars so i leave the track to get my mustang and realize that the host still had his car parked on the track so i checked his car,oh my.......he had auto-tragic tranny TC-10 ABS-10 all aids but SRF on and i later heard that he had done all the 24 hour races without changing the oil or doing an engine rebuild(one of the other guys on the room who had him as a friend told me),So in conclusion x1 drivers are more often than not idiots/noobs.

Managed to get my hands on a carbon Prototype X2010 before the trade cap. I only used it for b-spec. Put over 35,000 miles on it

The point of the car is to see what would happen if someone makes a car without following any rules. It can't take a hairpin at 120 mph, try it at Monaco or the Nurburgring. There are always fantasy cars in the GT series. A lot of the race cars aren't real. Remember the Nike One in GT4. That's not real. Its only because its being used in the wrong way. Imagine if no one uses it for ramming or making races unfair. No one would think its stupid. And giving the cars away for free was a big mistake by PD. Also, in the DLC, they should have just make the X2011 unlockable in an event like the Vettel Challenge, instead of just appearing in your garage.

With the logic that the X2010/X2011 shouldn't be in the game because it's not "real" is the same logic that would take away the FGT and a few others. Prototypes/concepts are not always "real" working cars. And when some are real "working" vehicles, they are not always at spec to the production model. Some never get produced.

The X2010 is hated so much because some people can't drive it appropriately, some people can't understand it, and some people are just haters... period. People who can appreciate innovation and pushing the limits appreciate this vehicle. Not everyone falls into one of these categories though.

I hope everyone can at least respect the thought and amazing technology put into this vehicle whether they love it, hate it, or couldn't care less.

I would wager that nearly every single knob that rams and uses the car, for nefarious purposes, coincidentally would not be able to even bronze any such event as they likely lack to concentration, coordination and skill to do it so yes, they should not have been given away at all. Perhaps a red bull liveried FGT would have been more appropriate?

At any rate I love the car and will continue to drive it but only if everyone else in the lounge is happy to do it as well. Also to the haters I say this: Go make a track designed for the X1's and grab a few mates and race around it, I think you just might enjoy yourselves

What they should do with the x1 is the same thing they do to karts racing simple as that. You can't race go karts with any other cars but go karts the same thing should be done with the x1
