The in race settings, you can turn it off. It appears in Quick Tune aswell I think, but for the earlier stuff, you'll need to assign some keys to get to the in race settings menu, then just set ABS from 1 to 0 and lock away :)

Cheers mate! 👍

Il take a look at this when i get home....im pretty sure the ABS is turned on from some "moments" i have had and not even a single lock up occured. :scared:

Indeed.. I just want to know that there is the option for me to improve.. With standard physics and driver aids off, I had pretty much mastered the controllers already.. I just felt it was too easy..

I am not ready for Pro physics yet, but am releaved to know that there is something to work on.

Its not a sign of defeat by any means.. I was mearly stating that the 'standard' physics is very unreal.... And in time, I will move over to Pro, once I feel ready for the challange!

blablablabla........

I don't know why this game even has Standard physics... If people come here to expect easy driving go play Need for Speed, ( not talking to you jweaver ;) )
Kids and just general gamers like to play. Not everyone is as into it as we are and for them taking the time to learn the physics removes them from the fun they are having. Then they set it down and never come back.

To take some people who enjoyed GT just as much as say NFS or PGR and throw them into Pro physics would lose customers. More choices is always a positive, even if you don't use them, and a smart business decision as well.

I haven't really played Prologue yet.
Is this an April Fool's Day post? I was taking you seriously right up to this point. I suggest you not give your opinions on gameplay when you haven't played the game.

I haven't played Prologue either and so far all I have said about the game is that I love the car list and the look. I cannot say one way or another about the physics, gameplay, etc, and until I got to this point in your post I was starting to wonder if some of the talk wasn't just fanboy love. I had a half second where I was doubting if I would enjoy it as much as I hoped.

However, though I too have yet to play Prologue, I have heard from GTP members I trust that it is a massive leap above GTHD in terms of physics realism. If you already have a PS3 anyway, Prologue might not be a bad buy (personally I'd be more concerned about the relative lack of content than the enjoyability of the physics).
So, does this mean that there may be a PS3 and GT5 in your future?

just to say that i got an f430 yesterday, and on pro physics it's plenty lively

i'm going to start on the s class races tonight. really enjoying the game, online and off 👍

It's the only game I really want on the PS3, so I'll be waiting until I can acquire both for a very meager sum. That'll probably be years from now.
