Has anybody thought that maybe they did this because people are picky and they wanted they're exact car model? Though when it comes to MR2 owners, they're out of luck.

That may be the case, but apparently only the owners of skylines and mx-5s are picky?

Many of the duplicates are identical other than being right or left hand drive.. in car with no interior. Many of the other duplicates are simply unique colors that could have been created by the user given a proper painting/livery system.

So many of these details are so minute that I doubt many of the fans/owners care or notice. You don't see many people moaning about the changes made in the 09 model year of their MkV GTIs not being represented in the game.

@Highlandor- I also invite you to browse my post history and see how long it takes you to find me doing the opposite of what you accuse me of. There's more to GTPlanet than the GT5 section.

Also, the next time you have something personal to say to me, do it in PM. Thanks, bud.

Don't you know - Villian has given himself moderator status, he's famous for being the self appointed GTPlanet police.

You've never HELPED anyone other than yourself since you've been on this forum - all you have ever done, in the short space of time you've been here, is criticise, antagonise and pretend to be a Moderator or the GTPlanet police.

You are so blinded by this, you totally fail to see that you have very often broken the same AUP that you so affectionately quote to so many people.

Your double standards are at legendary preportions.

You say you are helping when infact you are the perfect example of the type of member who is killing this forum - absolutely no interest in anything other than thier point of view, their needs, thier way of playing the game, their beliefs, I'm right - you're worng blah blah blah..

This deluded mentality of yours is confirmed by the fact that you totally fail to understand you are only making matters worse for everyone.

Before people like you joined there was something here called 'community spirit', now we just got you and hundreds more like you - who have destroyed the community spirit because your needs and wants are (in your deluded mind) more important.

Nice work 👍

:dunce:

and this 👍

The Mazda 6 touring car and the altenza touring car are the same, right down to the colors and the number 82 on the hood. I'm not spending another 90 grand for the same car again. The massive amounts of Miatas, Mitsubushi 3000's and GTO's are stupid.

//Mikucki, Highlander, and Villian to a less extent- quit arguing before you guys get the thread closed. Any attempt by anyone to get less duplicate threads is good. Grow up, quit bitching, quit the Moderator accusations, before this gets locked.

Back on topic now, please?

I don't care about the Skyline's, as the only one I own is the Nismo 400R.

I never even mentioned the GTO's and Lancers....

And yesterday I found 2 more Skylines that I didn't have (although I do because they're ALL THE SAME!!! LOL).

I can understand the '91 NSX, it was the first of a great line of cars, but why all the rest? Ok, NSX-R's make sense, so in total, say 3 varieties of the NSX would suffice.

And from the Skylines, the MOST we would need is 6-8. One from each change of model, and MAYBE a couple of sub models.

I think that between Skylines, Miata's (or whatever you want to call them) and RX-7's, I have over 100 cars. Just in those three models!

And, with all due respect to Jay Leno, The Tank Car?? Really?? Why?? What makes it so important to the history of cars?

One frequent criticism of many GT games – including GT5 – is the large number of Japanese cars with slight variations in trim (the various GT-Rs, Mitsubishi Evos, Miatas, etc. all come to mind). This is one of the first interviews which Kazunori has acknowledged the criticism, saying “…it’s true that there is a lot of variations depending on the model, and that’s probably because we’ve been affected strongly by the automotive culture in Japan from the 1990’s. [...] Back then there was meaning to each of the fine differences, and the selection of which model variation to drive was important to a user. Looking at it now I also think that there’s too many.”

Taken straight from the headline news: https://www.gtplanet.net/kazunori-wanted-another-2-years-for-gt5-development/

I dont like the fact that even though this interview is almost a year old, he mentions that, new cars and tracks are in development but may or may not be released as DLC. The system is there to do it....release it as DLC....it will not take anything away from "GT6" but just add to GT-5 before people just start throwing it in the "done" pile, like so many are starting to do already.

the fact that Kaz himself says that there are too many models of the same cars says it all really!
