Do you want Top Gear Test Track back?

That track was the perfect test track. It was short and had the right turns to test your car's weaknesses and strengths. However, PD could've done more with TGTT. For instance, weather and other track variations like the full runway. I did use that track a lot, and it was the perfect place to do drags on split-screen. That's until SSRX came, of course. But still!

Of course it'd be great to have it back, the more real circuits the better. It's seems a shame that PD put all the work into it for GT5 only for it to disappear from the series.

Everyone seems to have forgotten that the reason why the TopGear Test Track is not in GT6, is because Turn10 got the exclusive rights to TopGear content for Forza4, along with getting Clarkson to do all of the voice overs for the car descriptions. So unless and until TopGear stops being exclusively licensed to Turn10, we likely wont see the TGTT back in GT anytime soon.

That being said, however, i would gladly welcome the TGTT back in place of Ascari. To me that is an even more worthless track for racing.

It was a figure 8 track, and even still a window was open to take a massive shortcut without nullifying the lap or race. The invisible walls and such were an attempt to reduce that as much as possible, the window was still found, but without the walls, probably would of been an open garage door lol

It is what it is, TGTT is gone, & not coming back anytime soon. I'll take a Premium or at least updated Standard Supra any day over TGTT returning. Just seems so down on the priority list for me. If it were to come back, unless masively updated it would just PO people more than generate praise.
Tracks like Ascari don't have invisible walls but you would get reseted back to the track and put in last place if you were to cut across the track. The Silverstone Grand Prix circuit doesn't have this so it's easier for me to money grind it. (1st race in the Red Bull X2014 Standard Championship)

It's not a "real" circuit it's a weird test track converted from an abandoned airport used in an infamous TV show.
Real circuits are Brno, Portimao, Imola, Mugello, Donnington, things like that.

To clarify I mean real as opposed to fantasy circuits like Trial Mountain or Cape Ring. I understand what you're saying, it's nothing compared to the great road circuits of the world, but it's still a real track. Is Silverstone not a real track just because it was converted from an abandoned airfield?

Ok I got your point but Silverstone became a F1 race track which is a total different category than an "8" design test track not suited for competitive racing because of layout and safety reasons.

Not to mention the main reason why they removed it's because of the departure of Top Gear license.

There are 2 things I want from this.
1) The track
2) And every car that Top Gear has raced on the track and new ones delivered on the night of the show so we can race and post time on a global leaderboard right next to the stig's

If you read request #2 you are probably right and I should be institutionalized for being insane.

I want Top Gear test track to be back for 2 reasons:
1st: I used to be in "Trade, drag, fun" lobbies in GT5; it was completly awsome.
2nd: There were Stig Challenges and I would like to see more cars of Top Gear... For example, an Clarkson's MX-5.

I think it takes a lot of getting used to and some folks don't like that, they want to just hoon around as fast as possible. I don't think PD made the most of it either (though that could be said of many tracks, including those that rarely, if ever, make an appearance in the seasonals) but it's still great for testing cars, and my proving ground of choice in Forza 4. It's not the fastest circuit ever so doesn't suit some cars, but for balance I also use something else like Trial Mountain.

I see some people say they don't want it because it have flaws but i said without these flaws...

Waste of space? then explain me why there's 3 tracks for 2009 Circuit de la Sarthe, one is without chicane and other two with chicane, they're exactly the same except one of them has time/weather and other doesn't have one. That is the waste of space not a track which is unique from other tracks...

Note: i'm not hating on you, it's your opinion, you like it or not, You're free to say anything about it.

I agree with you here for the most part, but the whole point of the variations of La Sarthe and others is that they don't take any extra space on the disc or hard drive, or very very little for the additional placement of chicanes or barriers.

Waste of space? LOL. That's not an argument for not wanting a track, a REAL track. Waste of space are all of those duplicated cars and tracks as you said. In GT6 PD could eliminate the invisible walls (like Willow) and other flawls.

I realised how bad of a test track this was when I first played it in both GT5 and Forza 4, I guess it was good for some of the gimmicky races like one of the earlier Forza 5 races where you race around the track with stuff thrown at you

One of the few things that didnt carry over from GT5 to GT6 that I wont miss. TTGT was so annoying with the cones and cars just cutting across your path during those challenges. Definitely happy that its gone.

Did I mean that the whole track is a waste?
No.
2005 Circuit de la Sarthe with chicane
2005 Circuit de la Sarthe without chicane
2009 Circuit de la Sarthe with chicane Time/weather
2009 Circuit de la Sarthe with chicane
2009 Circuit de la Sarthe without chicane
2013 Circuit de la Sarthe with chicane Time weather

There's 3 2009 version of the track, two identical except one of them has Time/weather and same goes to suzuka circuit. I'm sorry if i was wrong by saying it's waste of space, I love the track.
The duplicated cars in other hand is Really a Waste of space.

FTFY

If they set it up with no cones, no invisible walls and with point to point standing starts I would be happy to see it back.

Unfortunately the only thing that makes the track interesting is the notion of replicating the power lap board, something which PD failed to do. Otherwise the track itself is dull and pointless really as a race circuit

Apart from the pop culture element of Top Gear (yes, I said pop culture and NOT car culture as Top Gear is made not for the car enthusiast), the TGTT would never be popular for any reason whatsoever. Dull ugly track and frankly, I would rather test the performance of a car on a fictional recreation of the ol' Complex String than have the Top Gear Test Track back in GT.
