Yes, but it depends...It's like shoplifting if you download let's say 15 songs and two dvd's... but there are people out there with 70000 songs, 350 games and 900 movies... and that is no shoplifting that has reached mafia dimensions and I hope that these people get what they deserve... the USA seem to be on a good way, as far as I know, here in Europe the war against internet piracy is slowly progressing...

I've seen that video before.CDs are overpriced as it is. Especially since you can buy a DVD for the same price. If CDs were cheaper there wouldn't be as much pirating going on.
I don't really care when people download music, but when they start downloading movies it really pisses me off because so much more goes into movies as most musicians don't even write their own work.

Software / music / video piracy is nothing like shoplifting. When shoplifting you steal something directly from someone. Someone loses money due to it, pirating software just means they won't get the income from you, but they won't lose any either. They don't know whether you were going to buy it if you didn't have the opportunity to copy it.
