ok heres my point

gt1 was the first of all

not a lot of cars not a lot of tracks but still fun

gt2 had a lot of mroe cars and a lot of more track and littel bump in graphic

i dont know if u get my point yet but gt3 was like the gt1 of the ps2 and gt4 will kinda like be gt2 of the ps2

I thought of that when I intially heard about the GT4, but after playing you realize that this game is is going to be better than ever.

You like rubbing it in huh Zee? ;)

Yeah i still think and hope that the improvement in GT4 over GT3 will resemble that of the improvement in GT2 over GT :)

I'm glad I'm not the only person who wants the game to follow more in the way of GT2. I always thought that GT2 was better than GT3. I was really disappointed when I got GT3 and saw that it had fewer cars than the first game. Sure, it had better graphics, but I always thought that was the only thing it had going for it. I played GT2 a lot more than GT3. I got bored with GT3 after about 2 months. I played GT1 up until GT2 came out.

I know what you mean, there was more to do in GT2 like in the endurance races you had to win each one at leat twice to get the cars, I was really annoyed when I race for 2 hours on Laguna Seca to win a car I had won about 7 times in other competitions. I've done every cup in GT3 but most of them only once. Also the racing kits were badly missed, once I got money in GT2 I enjoyed buying average cars to tune into racing machines and finding the variations in racing kits with the differnt variations of the standard cars eg the R34 V-spec had a dark bkue or silver paint job and the R34 GT had a silver and red one etc.

cmon, i know GT2 was a gr8 game, especially for 2player due to the massive amount of cars, but you cant compare it with GT3. The physics in GT3 are outstanding, GT2 doesnt come close when talking about a racing experience, precision is the word for GT3, although i have to admit i do throw in GT2 just to mess about with the cas now and again, RUF CTR2 SPORT, how wide can u go? RX7 GTC, gotta love that turbo sound!

GT1 definitely had better graphics than GT2. I hope they don't follow that precedent with GT4. I'll bet the graphics will be as good or better than GT3.

They're not. The graphics in GT4 will be better.

GT2 seems better to you because it was better. In the department of substance, format, and game play options. GT3 was better in every other way though, IMO.

I'm sure GT4 will be more like GT2, but with all the benefits of GT3, and then some.

Yeah - this does look like it'll be the PS2's GT2.

I remember when it was first mooted that GT2000 (GT3's original name) was basically just going to be a graphical update of GT2 thinking that such a thing would be just fine by me - not that I want to put GT3 down, as its improvements in other areas were worth the wait.

...but GT4, man, this looks like something else. This is going to be fantastic.

hmmmmm.......... indeed.

I do hope this is the PS2's GT2 but with one noticeable exception... less bugs than what GT2 had over GT1. In this case it would be less bugs than what GT3 had ov.... oh crap now i'm confused. :(

Less bugs. Sounds reasonable.

It's gonna be better than a GT2 on PS2 hopefully because of the record number of cars, improved sound, improved AI (this I REALLY want, and of course network play.

Plus those gorgeus graphics and better physics :D
