Probably not but maybe they may release some Super Seasonal Events to help me do it.

Otherwise, I'll get tired of grinding.

I highly doubt it. (currently 31) The only way I will get there is by doing seasonal events probably (if they actually make more).

I mean after level 30 you have unlocked every car and besides a couple endurance races there is little point in leveling.

I'm calculating that anything betwen September - November sounds reasonable... since I'm not going to redo any of the endurance races...

But I really doubt I'll be playing GT5 for that long... I've just dropped any possibility of PD expanding the game...

I want to so I can start buying colored X2010s, but I don't really see that happening for a quite a long time.

I'm missing about 5-6 million exp., so not too far away anymore. Will require 2 weeks though I believe.

I'd like to but probably won't be able [arsed] to.

It depends on Seasonal events and such; if some come along that offer truly staggering XP rewards (but so long as the races are juicy enough to justify it), then I might do. As it stands I won't repeat any endurances and the normal A-spec races don't give enough reward to make it worthwhile.

I'm cautiously optimistic though, and this 'little break' could end up turning quite a few heads...

Will probably just stop at 35 once I get access to the LeMans 24H endurance race. That's all I'm looking forward to at this point and it's a shame how much work I have to do to get there.

To put this whole XP thing into context, you need a total of 34,XXX,XXX XP to get to level 40. If you make it to level 31 you've earned a total of 3,7XX,XXX XP. That's just 11% of the total XP needed to make it to 40.

If you make it to level 37 you're only halfway there.

40 b-spec yes probably
40 a-spec not unless they start to put seasonal event with more exp later on. I dont see the point anyway atm. Since you unlock the same stuff with b-spec (except for trophy which I dont care about).

It will take eternity. I don't have a X1, so it will be tough. Not gonna happen. I'll play the PS3 into the ground or find a game I like better sooner. :P

Doubt it. Unless the seasonal events get me up there. All i have left are endurance races, and I have a life so I will never be doing those. The only time I play now is when new seasonal races are available, or friends from back home get together and we race.

You mean lvl40 aspec right?

I will never ever manage to reach lvl40 aspec. I even doubt that I`ll able to reach lvl40 with bspec...

Its just too time consuming, it makes no fun, I also don`t intend to play this game long enough to reach lvl40.

I'd like to, but I doubt it. I can't see myself doing many of the endurance races that would be needed for the exp to get to 40... Unless they implement being able to save while pited. Then I might, but it would take me a LONG time.

I will. Not sure when (I'm lvl 33 right now) but this is a game I will be playing over and over for a very long time to come.

That. 👍 What's the rush getting to 40? This game is merely 60 days old.

I doubt I'll get there, not because I wont be able to, but because levelling up in this game is just a matter of time rather than skill, but because it's looking very much like the release of Shift 2 Unleashed is going to be the moment when something better has come along and the entire GT series leaves my life for good.

The progression model/lack of in-race save feature completely squashed my hopes of hitting level 40 in either A or B spec. I've also given up on golding the Vettel Challenge. I'll just buy an X2010 later on. Without online play, I'd completely be off this game.

If pd pull their finger out and bring us some more events, then it should'nt be a problem, if they don't, I will have to wait and see.

Lvl 31 A spec. I don't have time to get the X1 or get to lvl 40. It's pretty ridiculous. I only have time to have fun or tune. I'd like to know how many hours logged for grinding or the X1 keyboard tricks from those who did it. Obviously noone has gotten there by purely playing to have fun.

Ballpark figure, how many hours/weeks was the PS3 on whilst the X1 with a turbo button was grinding at Indy?

I doubt i'll get close to level 40. At level 30 now and took an age to get there. Maybe if they keep updating the seasonal events may get there one day.

Currently at lv39 so I think I will be able get to lv40. :p Will still take a while though, experience bar is moving really slow. It's also the last thing I need to platinum GT5.

Probably not but I'm not fussed about the trophies and I'm never going to do the longer endurance races. The 4hr one is about the maximum I think I'll every be able to manage and I'm not leaving the PS3 on for days and days doing the longer ones (it could possibly take weeks for me to do the 24hr races), Shame you can't save when you pit in.

GT was always for me a very durable series which would last a great amount of time compared to other games. I find amusing the fact that lots of people have reached level 40 only 3 months after GT5's release.

That said, with the new online update feature, and specially the seasonal events, I think I might be able to reach level 40 even at my slow playing pace, something I would've never dreamed of in GT4. Just gimme time and I'll be there...
