That's right, Winamp 3 FINAL is finally here!

Some major new features to test out are:

- built in crossfading.

- resize the main window to just about any size.

- load multiple playlists at once.

- the media library can sort and display your music collection if it has been tagged with ID3 information. At first, your database of music is empty.

- Freeform skinning!

- Much more!

Available to all countries excluding Canada.

I really love this thing, especially the cool freeform skins, even if there are only a few worth downloading right now.

I was going to download it, but I've heard many people aren't very happy with its performance. You haven't had any problems with it?
 
I've been using it for 3 days straight now. I think it's bloated. I mean, why is there a video player in Winamp3? The "Thinger" is just a waist of space. None of my version 2 skins work. Version 2 plug-ins make Version 3 crash, and all of the skins (that work) for Version 3 just plain... suck.

What I do like is the desktop Alpha, which makes the player transparent and the new Media Library and Playlist.
 
Compared to 2.80 *puts cd in to see how big file is*
hmmm 1.92 MB ok about a meg or so bigger.
Ok im just winging because its new, I always do that before ive tried new things

I HATE WINAMP3
ill probably take it back after ive installed
 
Odd, I haven't had one error yet. Though I'm using 2.80 now because there aren't any decent skins yet.

I checked the winamp.com forums and there are some pretty amazing skins in development right now, though.
 
i don't mind the base skin, and i like the thing overall... but it has problems...

the audio/video sync is garbage, and its generally still kind of rough... also those errors, but there is a 2x plugin manager which is pretty good for my old 2.80 plugins.

There is one skin I have found that almost makes me want to get 3.0. It's called Corneramp - have you tried it?
 
Hell am I using winamp 3 my computer is to crappy and it just eats the resorces. Maybe when I get a new computer :P

:reallyodd If that happened, I wouldnt use winamp anymore. Use Winmx, its better.
