ha I think what we are all trying to get is that we want some interior interactivity with the car but we do not know if PD are going to do it or how they will implement it.

can any of you guys can think of solutions to free up more buttons so we can use headlights or windscreen wipers?

Auto wipers would be far far easier.

Currently the down arrow button (on controller) has no function, so that would be good for high beam/low beam operation.

Could be a problem with wet rally stages..

"Oh, my windshield is covered! Can't.. seee.. anything...

.. better turn on my wipers..."

click

Shōryū-ken!!!!!!

"oh bugger, I've killed my co-driver"

Yea, on the controller, up and down make good candidates. Even the left or right buttons on the d-pad will work for me. R1 could work too.

Brainwave: You could shake the controller to turn the windscreen wipers on and off

I want to put off the sticks on the visor when they get dirty in convertible cars and F1... It will be a nice detail....

I want to put my hand out and do it manually.

Wonder if there will be any window wipers in GT5, although we are not yet certain if there will be dynamic weather it is certain that there are weather effects and night and day cycle included in the game. give me your thought on wether they shoul includes wipers in the gameand also the the ability to turn it on or off.

Well wipers are in the game, they are modeled on every car, so I would think it's safe to assume that if there is rain the wipers will be moving. The spoiler moves on the Audi in Prologue, so I can't see wipers being a major problem.

I didn't check all the other threads yet, but this one has "Windshield" in the thrad topic.

After looking at the new pics in the News section, windshield wipers are very prominent on the Super GT car. 👍

I thought that myself, they seem very prominent, almost out of place?

With some race cars having aerials, maybe pit crew communication is part of it.You could have warnings about tyre wear, fuel usage & amount, warnings of damage ending your race, lap times, positions of other drivers, pit in orders.I wonder if you can fill up the fuel tank, to your desired level ( GPL had this ) amongst other setups.Perfect for Le Mans races & other races too.

That would be cool... think it as a ONLINE feature , where some players acts like pitcrew , and others pilot... hugeeeeeeee online play... ( maybe even, two pilots option online... in 24h races... like lemans ) when in pitcrew they swap ...

I want that as an offline too.Drivers sharing the car, is how endurance races are done anyway so hopefully is part of it.Also before the start of an endurance race, if you don't fix your car quickly enough you can miss the back of the pack.Meaning you are out of the race.Strict i know, but that is how it works.
