^^ It's great having ice forming from your eyebrows, in below freezing temperatures .First of all i wouldn't know they are there because my face would be numb.

Before they add thw wiper effects.

cant they add a reflection to the windshield.

Cause when you play in cockpit view its like theres nothing in front of you, it dont feel like your sitting behind some glass. No dashboard reflection no nothing.

PD gotta make it so it feels like theres somewhere instead of nothing. cause then it would just look wierd, raining spashing off nothing :yuck:

I think if the rain splashs in the windshield.. the effect for itself would be enough to simulate "the glass". The dashboard reflections in the cockpit view, depends of the light that comes inside the vehicle ...

Yea, but also at night when in the car and its raining every droplet thats on the windshield, the lights all reflect off of it. Thats something PD has to try and do.

I wonder if they can make condensation & smoke inside the cockpit ( no sarcasm ).Also how would they simulate cockpit temperatures ?.Driver fatigue, energy levels etc.Now that's including situations, race car drivers face every time they get into a rally car, Le Mans car & race cars from other racing series races.

There is always smoke in my sim cockpit!:sly:

You notice how you don't experience g-forces when you drive the cars around too?

Wasnt trying to rain on anyones parade. But when you drive fast in the rain your wipers slow down and dont wipe as good. When you fling mud on your windshield when the windshield is dry it doesnt wipe off clean in one to two wipes.

by the way i think incorporating wet tracks with no rain is a terrible idea.

Any one expecting falling snow or fog?

This is very old build, but everything is IN GAME engine, nothing pre rendered there. No wonder GT5 gets delay, because RAIN and SNOW ill make it, maybe not very snowy, but very light snow with wet ground will be good enough for most tracks.

Yea, I always liked those scenes in Prologue. That particular one is my favorite, as the snow comes falling down upon your car. I do hope that fog is implemented, too, because that is often associated with snow or rain.

i want light...midium....and heavy rain...snow....dirt.... and a combo of a few of them...and manual wipers

I want to put my hand out and do it manually.

.........

WIN. That's a crowning moment of funny right there.

As for the thread, I would prefer manual wipers.

And then I wouldn't turn them on, crashing and taking out half the pack for teh evulz.

Or I'd just crash.

Earlier in this thread someone speculated about controlling the headlights. This feature is in Ferrari Challenge, Supercar Challenge, and also GRID to my knowledge - you can switch the headlights on/off. In GRID, I believe also that the headlights do put light on the circuit (although I could be wrong, as I tried to forget about that game asap).

I don't think the button configurations will be a problem - they can easily include it in the in-game settings menu, along with TC, ABS etc. Similarly for wipers - the on/off function could be placed in the in-game menu.

Given that the game is nearly complete (I've head "90 percent" and "95 percent" from different sources), and given that Yamauchi said something like "...we are working on the 'experience' now", I would say it's all these little features and functionality that is being worked on. Whether or not they should be saved for a future GT6 is another issue.

Wait....I remember Grid's headlights turning on automatically....

Hah. Shows how much space I reserved in my memory for that game.

But the day to night and night to day was very nice in that game. Maybe this is part of the "experience" that PD are finishing off with in the development.
